  1. Dude is 31 in 2 months. Better get moving fast on his potential.
  2. Ya 1/20 was completely unrealistic…
  3. Just ban spanky jay and the forum would be fixed. He is AIDS!!!
  4. lol..
  5. In the US, Canada literally never is mentioned. And never really has been. A bit more concerned with the other border issues.
  6. 100 pct post to thank ratio
  7. You could be right there. In that case you hold tight and hope aaa guys make an impact and save bullets for the deadline.
  8. I say yes we will get Chapman as a flurry of trades take place league wide between now and opening day
  9. Door B. However I’d like to know if still room at deadline to add payroll. Obviously, could simply be the difference between chapmans salary and biggio/espinal/richards/garcia. In regard to who would be in the 2 BP spots, it would be a carousel of fresh/best arms. Bp in aaa/aa is an absolute advantage we should lean into. Maybe even the 4 trades players results in something for the future. None of the 4 will be here next year imo.
  10. Do we end up with Chapman? Yes or no
  11. That’s actually the definition of a platoon…
  12. - don’t forget to add in the WAR of the players replacing espinal and Garcia I’d also move Richards and biggio if needed
  13. Bauer got the last laugh as he punched the blogger in the dick repeatedly after the final at bat.
  14. Sure. And then sign Chapman, Snell, and Montgomery and grossman.
  15. Ideally Atkins can flex his in house contingency plans for 3b on boras and get a team friendly/fair deal for Chapman without opt outs. It looks like 2b is the preferred home for Orelvis so ideally he is up by midseason and that moves guys over to 3b primarily as well. It could come down to something like Atkins has 13m to spend this season (stated need to cut to add). So do you take option a: Let Chapman walk. Roll the dice that someone will run with the 3b job. Assume a mid season add of Orelvis is a good enough offensive upgrade until the deadline. Sign a lefty masher OF cheap now and use the remainder of the 13m at the deadline. Keep espinal, Garcia, Richards Or option b: Get Chapman at 23m and trade Garcia, Richards, espinal?
  16. If it’s back with us I think year one isn’t more than 23m
  17. That is the move I’ve been waiting for. I’m cool with replacing Garcia and Richards from within esp since the replacements can be shuttled back and forth with others in aaa.
  18. I’ve been saying that is highly likely all offseason. Don’t know if we have any money for it now though. I think we do. I can totally see boras bullying Atkins into a deal like bellinger so boras can save face. This could be the new version of the pillow contract going forward
  19. I mean it’s a completely reasonable common sense packaging of players to trade…… Is a link really needed? It’s not like “jays willing to trade gausman for a pile of s***”
  20. And my post was deleted rather than edited. I had to fix the numbers. Hit from trading springer to angels for trout would increase jays payroll (not aav) like 6m the first three years and then 30m the next 3’years
  21. I don’t disagree with you
  22. But that wouldn’t be a deal that the angels would prob entertain unless clearing salary was number one priority. Would be a PR nightmare if happened today.
  23. Vogelbach gets 2m if he makes the team. I haven’t heard any details of Escobar deal
