  1. Good to see Revere getting hits. And Tulo.
  2. Nice thread TwistedLogic. I especially appreciate the video comparisons. A picture is worth a thousand words, so three video clips must be worth several thousand . In addition to the improved mechanics he has certainly become more cerebral at the plate. He seems to recognize pitches better and lays off the ones that break low over the plate.
  3. Thank you Hawkins and Revere on that last out.
  4. Thank you the updates. They haven't said much about it on TV.
  5. It would be good to see more line drives from Revere.
  6. Ben Revere is starting to look like a good pickup.
  7. Another nail biter. This seems like a typical April game when the Blue Jays were winning by brute force.
  8. I think it will be important for the Blue Jays over the next 2 months for Pillar to start hitting again. Also, as long as Ben Revere is in the lineup he will have to start producing with the bat. Pillar and Revere hitting and getting on base will really inflate Tulowitzki's and Donaldson's run production stats, however, the main thing is for the team to win. PS: nextyear was last year when I joined this forum so next year is now this year. This is the year for the Blue Jays.
  9. Lineup for today (source: )
  10. I see that you are right when I read through it in more detail. I plan to stick with the ones that can be determined without making assumptions: ones such as RBI's, BABIP, Runs, home runs ...
  11. That is amazing insight. So how will this affect the team's win probability added (WPA) by Jose Bautista for the remainder of the season? Currently fangraphs indicates for Jose Bautista for 2015 that it is +1.64 (WPA) with a confidence range of -6.81 (-WPA) to 8.45 (+WPA) - http://www.fangraphs.com/statss.aspx?playerid=1887&position=3B/OF Do you expect the statistics for Jose Bautista to remain valid for the remainder of the season considering the personal problems that he is having? I guess you are optimistic since you believe he will right the ship just in time.
  12. Don't you ever sleep? I woke up at 3 am and posted something that you criticised but then I just went back to sleep. I just woke up and you are still signed in. Don't you ever work? Yesterday I checked for the lineup during the day and you were still signed in. Fortunately, I don't have Down syndrome as you suggested but I would never insult people who do by associating them with you.
  13. You are just as big of a jackass with the new Tulowitzki avatar. You associating yourself with a level headed person such as Tulowitzki is a bit of a stretch. Baubau seems to be right. I can't find a boxscore with Navarro catching Dickey. Having Thole called up to catch Dickey seems just as pointless as me responding to your useless posts. Navarro is a catcher with years of experience, I am sure he is capable of catching Dickey. At times Martin looks like a fish out of water catching Dickey, how could Navarro be any worse at it?
  14. I don't think Navarro gets the respect that he deserves. Navarro has already caught Dickey at lease once this year and did a good job; I don't remember any balls getting past him. Navarro actually made it look fairly easy.
  15. Not a very exciting game but the Blue Jays need the win. I am looking forward to the Yankees series.
  16. When the Blue Jays had Carrera, Pillar and Goins hitting 7, 8 and 9 somehow it produced runs.
  17. I miss having Carrera in these situations.
  18. Who said Goins isn't a good base runner? Nice hit.
  19. It is good that the Blue Jays have Navarro. He is a productive hitter who can give Martin rest breaks. I hope the Blue Jays will keep Navarro for the next few years.
  20. Edwin has been hitting much better lately. He will probably start hitting home runs again soon.
  21. The Blue Jays could lose this game and the Yankees could win to get back to a 6.5 game lead. The Blue Jays really need to show the determination that they did on Sunday.
  22. I don't like the way Pillar has been swinging for the past week. One weak popup after another. Goins is getting his OBP up with the walks and otherwise swinging at hittable pitches.
  23. Tonight's lineup (source: )
  24. I can argue against this. As far as base running goes, neither is a base stealer but Goins can score from 1st on a double just as well as Travis can. I think as far as base running goes, they are very similar. I think Goins can get to more ground balls (better range) because he must have the better ability to read where a player will hit a ground ball since their speed is similar. By reading where a ball will be hit I mean by observing the track of the thrown ball and the angle of the hitter's bat before he even hits the ball. There is no question that some players are better than others at predicting where a ball will be hit.
