Grabbing the leg of the second baseman after sliding through the base while Bautista is behind the 2nd baseman is illegal.

Nah. The slide was perfect. Where Bautista went wrong was making contact after the slide by reaching back and grabbing his leg.

Has nothing to do with that rule but it will fall under that rule now. That particular play was considered interference last year too.

Sliding past the second baseman and making contact by reaching back and grabbing his leg/ankle to impede the throw doesn't fit any of those criteria because it is illegal, and called interference.

Sliding through and making contact is. Sliding to the side and grabbing the ankle/leg after sliding past the 2nd baseman while he is making the throw isn't. That is blatant interference.

The biased umpire calls on balls and strikes continues to go against the Jays in 2016 (look at the opposing pitchers(s) data too). Luckily they are so talented they are able to overcome it now. The totally egregious strike calls against Bautista and Donaldson are troubling though.

Just had to post to give props to Josh Thole with the dinger against a tough lefty and the amazing defense blocking and saving a lot of potential passed balls yesterday.

I simmed the Jays vs. Rays with daily rosters on MLB 16. Stroman with a complete game shutout. Jays win 7-0. -
It would mean more for media play playback (4k movies) than actual gaming. Before you start saving money for PS4K you would have to buy a 4k TV which would be at the minimum 4-6 times that amount for an actual decent 4k tv. ...and BTW you would need a video card that costs >$399 (more than what the PS4 costs) to play 4k video games at a very minimum of 30FPS.

It takes a while for the game to completely install. You know when it is done installing when you put your ear to the PS4 and you can't hear the fan running loud.

Yes, that is normal. You are only allowed to play as Royals Vs. Mets while the game is installing.

If only new releases costed $59.99. It still remains relative between the two versions though.

I'm on veteran now with dynamic difficulty and the balance is starting to get much better. I am able to work deep into counts, take walks etc. Had the CPU's pitch count up to 80 by the end of the 4th inning in my last game.

They always do a Canadian themed version of the cover - a player on the Blue Jays or a Canadian player. Since JD is on the cover (US version too) this year, the jersey makes it uniquely Canadian. I don't like the Canada Day jersey either.

I had Thole catching Dickey and Thole looks awesome behind the plate with his realistic catching gear and helmet..lol...they even have the Rawlings gold glove patch on Martin. Another thing I noticed is the catcher animations are awesome. They will stand up a bit for a high location and also setup inside and out around the plate. I don't recall the catchers doing that in the previous versions.

I couldn't tell any difference with how the ball carries with the dome open/closed. The game now track exit velocity with every contact. Tulo had one tracked @ 114MPH off the bat, that is the best so far. The shifts are a lot more realistic. The CPU now crowds Bautista and Encarnacion with 3 infielders to the pull side. I really enjoy the presentation flyovers of the home city during the game in hybrid and broadcast mode. I am also going to call up Patt Venditte and see how the game handles him. Bautista and Encarnacion are out for an extended period of time. Bautista has a head contusion and Encarnacion has a torn calf...lol

Gameplay is great. I'm playing on dynamic difficulty and hitting is currently set at rookie so as of right now there are a lot more strikes being thrown than I want. I am not getting deep into a lot of counts and walking because of that. I am currently using the fish eye view and I can judge depth pretty well and also the stadiums look spectacular though that perspective.

I've only played one game at home so far and I played with it open. I'll play the next game with it closed and let you know.
