  1. Not for PS4, they don't even have half the features from the Last Gen version.
  2. I signed up for Draft Kings the other day for shits and giggles. I'm not a huge fantasy baseball guy so who are some guys that have great value tonight?
  3. Im sure you can point out many bad moves by a lot of GMs. I'm not saying he's been great but hes not as bad as you are saying. Hasn't signed any bad contracts really and I would say that has actually been a strength of his. Rasmus trade was not a mistake. He gave up a couple relievers, prospect that has turned into nothing and Corey Patterson for a player that gave the team 5 WAR last season.
  4. I think he is the most underrated prospect in the Org. No one really talks about him but he seems like he has a pretty good chance to be a Major Leaguer even though he doesn't have any star tools.
  5. http://prohockeytalk.nbcsports.com/2013/08/02/messier-concerned-over-drop-in-canadian-kids-playing-hockey/ Now this is Canada but I don't think the US will be much different considering the costs and parents being weary of concussions. I think there are plenty of Euros still playing hockey but Canada makes up over half of NHL players.
  6. The rivalry with the Leafs has been stale for a while now. The games against the Leafs and Habs will still be premium games because there are a lot of Leafs and Habs fans in the Ottawa area. I think if the NBA puts a team in Vegas it will kill the NHL team as Vegas is a huge basketball city and I can't see many people going to both.
  7. The product wouldn't suffer with 2 teams added IMO but if you add 4 it wouldn't be pretty. Especially in 15 years as less and less kids are playing hockey these days.
  8. From the articles out there it sounds like Seattle and Quebec City will have their teams when Vegas does as well.
  9. How does the Sens Org. suffer? Sidenote- I can only see them expanding to 32 teams as it makes much more sense. Have 4 divisions of 8 teams or 8 divisions of 4 teams, that way the league won't be unbalanced. Also Bettman's huge ego comes in to play as he wants to be the first commissioner to have a team in Vegas.
  10. I know and I hate him for that. And when he does answer a question he has to make it sound like he is always right and has a very difficult time admitting he was wrong about someone.
  11. What an annoying answer from Law. Just say your opinion on Castro, no need to be snarky.
  12. The chance of Stroman and Hutchison becoming starts is more likely than Sanchez and Norris and I wouldn't hold my breathe for that. Stroman is better than Sanchez and by scouting reports Norris is seen as having upside of a number 3 starter which I would say Hutchison is pretty close to being right now. If 3 of the 4 mentioned starters become average-above average I would be extremely happy but history has shown us for every Michael Wacha there is 2 Kyle Drabeks.
  13. I don't disagree with anything you said. Is saying they need to make "smart decisions" wrong, even if they haven't made the smartest of moves recently?
  14. His defence this year has been really bad. For whatever reason if the ball is anywhere close to the wall he gives up on it. His DRS also suggests that he is not the defender he is from last year. I think Rasmus will want to go somewhere else for a fresh start and Gose might just provide as much value as Rasmus with the defence and baserunning. Neither of them are everyday players IMO.
  15. Yeah Cabrera will get the QO surely. Ditto for Rasmus.
  16. Im not going to respond to most of this post (for obvious reasons) but Nolin is not untouchable. He's not even a top 75 prospect and is already pretty old and might have the ceiling of a number 4 starter.
  17. Yeah he seems like a guy that would talk to fans and doesn't have much of an ego. Do you think Norris is going to come up to the big leagues for September? (I hope he doesn't because I think there is no need to have him on the 40 man)
  18. You don't need to blow it up but you have to make smart decisions in the offseason to either go for it or rebuild. None of this half ass true talent 83-85 win team that has to have everything go right for them to get 90 wins.
  19. Nice post, good to hear from someone who was actually at the game. Not sure Gose would be a good pitcher as apparently his mechanics off the mound were awful and he has value as a platoon CF. Did AA say anything else when you talked to him?
  20. Link isn't working for me either. But I can guess that he said the team does not look good and good on him for saying that. I hate when athletes talk with all these stupid cliches in interviews instead of speaking their mind.
  21. Watch they will sign a free agent so we lose the top 15 pick..
  22. Statline looks pretty good tonight too. 6 SO 0BB in 4 innings so far
  23. looks like you were the only person to vote on this thread Ms. Vincent.
  24. Yeah thats a very reasonable projection for next year but he is getting old and catchers don't last forever. If you go 4 years though you might regret it next year or most likely the year after. I'm all for upgrading the catcher's position and getting a much better defensive catcher.
  25. But elite framing and defence does not equal $ on the open market. If you can pick up a Kratz for a below average middle reliever you do not need to pay a lot of $ for Martin. The BABIP is a huge outlier and the power is way down in a career year. Would you rather sign Martin for 15million/year for a 100wRC+ or a great framer with a 80wRC+ for league min.?
