  1. Funny when people are saying Melky doesn't go in any slumps but you could probably say he is in one right now. Over the last 7 days he has been Toronto's worst hitter putting up a .192/.192/.231 line
  2. The thing is he won't come back for that much and certainly not with Toronto. If he was smart he goes to the NL in a pitcher's park much like what JJ did but with hopefully better results.
  3. Well Dustin Ackley has a 98wRC+ while being above average in the field and a tick above average on the bases and has put up 1.8 WAR. Matt Holliday has a 122wRC+ while being below average in the field and has provided -0.7 runs of BSR. He has 2.1 WAR while having an extra 100 PA. Pretty equal value and one is your prototypical LF while the other doesn't hit very well but still gives you the same value and at a much lower price.
  4. It will be really exciting if Osuna does go down because he will be one of if not the youngest player there. It'll be nice to see some of these guys since MLB network carries most of the games.
  5. There is no way they go into the season with that lineup.
  6. http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/events/afl/club.jsp?team_id=555 So as of now the Blue Jays players listed on the Mesa Solar Sox of the AFL are Pompey, DSJ and Berti. No pitchers on the roster as of yet.
  7. He does make a point though. You don't have to have a lot of power to play LF and have a lot of value. The one thing DWJ looks like he can do is hit and if he can hit .280 with a .350 OBP he doesn't really need much HR power to be valuable.
  8. Well there have been some terrible contracts in the NBA so you never really know. I don't have a problem with a guy asking for more money. If he isn't worth the contract to a NBA team he won't get signed. Why would it matter to me or you if he asks for something above his market value?
  9. Well if he pitched 215 innings with a 3.82 ERA he would be worth $19 million no matter how fat, old or slow his fastball is.
  10. Wow has Cecil ever looked dominant lately. Fastball up to 95 and the curveball is one of the best in the MLB.
  11. Relax. Leftly was on the mound.
  12. Buck so confused...Valencia to 1B, Tolleson to 3B you fool.
  13. Well Navarro isn't a good catcher so I am not sure what you are getting at? Fans are allowed to have their opinions. As for this board being "whiny" go over to Real GM for a Raptors game or the HF Boards for a Leafs game. This board is nothing.
  14. Well what do you want fans to say "Good job!"? Fans will always have knee jerk in game reactions no matter who is playing, its just the way people are with sports.
  15. Reyes seems to be so passive when he gets on base. He doesn't look to steal very much for a guy that fast.
  16. Pillar's speed is underrated
  17. Yup. I don't want to see any part of Francisco..
  18. On this particular circumstance you may be correct but over the course of the season there have been times where it has missed by a few inches and Navarro turns a strike into a ball. There is a reason he has some of the worst framing numbers in MLB.
  19. That cop is smoking haha wow
  20. That HR just bought Valencia a week against RHP
  21. There has been more than that. Also good framers are good because they can take a pitch that didn't hit their spot and still get the strike call, would you not agree?
  22. Umm it was a 2 seam fastball that broke in towards Navarro...
  23. Last I checked he was still tweeting about Wiz Khalifa
  24. You can't seriously believe that about framing can you? Why was Kratz so much better then? Just by watching you can tell Navarro struggles with framing.
  25. People are angry with Navarro because he is a terrible catcher and the offence that he was signed for has not showed up. If he was putting up a 110wRC+ I think people would be more forgiving with Navarro's defence. But he has been pretty bad this season so he deserves a lot of criticism.
