  1. I think the best candidateto replace Leiwike is Rick Wells current president of GS Warriors. We need a guy who isn't afraid to stand up to the dickheads of the MLSE Board and is not a hockey guy.
  2. Oh nice. Hows the secondaries look? 9Ks through 5 is mighty impressive.
  3. Oh sorry I thought you were watching on MILB.tv or something. I think the Jays must of promoted Castro because Dunedin is going to be in the playoffs. I would think if everything goes well he spends half a season in Dunedin and then the rest of the season in NH.
  4. Looks like Norris might be having a bit of trouble commanding the fastball. Gave up a HR and now has walked his 3rd batter.
  5. I think he would get hit pretty hard because of the lack of a breaking ball. He could maybe be a decent reliever with the plus fastball average chaneup. I hear he needs to add a bit of arm speed on the change as it is noticeable.
  6. Yankees can just go out and buy more players in the offseason. I don't think they will be worried about giving up control of Solarte.
  7. "The cost in prospects was too high, it didn't come down to money"
  8. I think they should try him out at 2nd base first. 2nd baseman are harder to find than CF especially with the potential his bat has.
  9. So as originally reported Leiwike is leaving within a year. Not good news for Raptors fans as it sounds like the MLSE board had more to do with him leaving than Tim himself. I have no confidence in Larry Tanenbaum and the rest of the board.
  10. You just stated KC might fall back and later say they will be playing the worst team in the MLB, another terrible team and an average team.
  11. And if Hanley walks they would have money to give Reyes.
  12. It takes a few years from your drafts for the talent to get to the MLB. They have few Position Player prospects but they also have one of the deepest collections of pitching prospects of any team as well. My guess the org puts a premium on developing pitching because no free agent is going to want to pitch at RC and in the AL East.
  13. Well if you go by DRS he is 4th last. He might be okay this season but there is no denying Reyes will have to move off SS by 2016 at the latest. Its not just groundball he's bad at but things like receiving throws. http://www.fangraphs.com/leaders.aspx?pos=ss&stats=fld&lg=all&qual=y&type=1&season=2014&month=0&season1=2014&ind=0&team=0&rost=0&age=0&filter=&players=0&sort=10,d
  14. Well with Kiley Mcdaniel now at Fangraphs we won't have t oworry about Hulet anymore really. Check out his post on the Texas Rangers. Can't wait until he posts about the Blue Jays. Although those posts must take a week to make so it probably won't be soon. http://www.fangraphs.com/blogs/evaluating-the-prospects-texas-rangers/
  15. Lol the write up on Osuna was terrible and even having Lugo on the list that high is weird.
  16. Someone posted a similar article on Labourt but here's the once charting Castro in a start with Vancouver. Theres some video of him warming up as well. Sounds pretty promising and he has good command but just needs to work on refining the secondaries. http://blogs.vancouversun.com/2014/07/12/charting-miguel-castro-part-dos/
  17. Esmil Rogers comes into the game with a 2-1 Yankees lead and now its 4-2 Astros.
  18. The thing I can't stand is when people get mad over us not signing our first round picks because of lost development time. Not signing Beede turned into Stroman who is in the MLB and contributing when Beede was drafted a second time. Bickford turned into Pentecost who could make the majors faster than Bickford as well.
  19. Just interested to hear your opinion on Reid Foley higher than Smoral? They were similarly ranked in their respective draft classes and Smoral seems to be developing nicely all be it at a slower pace because of the injuries.
  20. Damn I forogt about Urena. I would put him in the 10 spot for me. Graveman is a guy I think you trade in the offseason to maximize his value.
  21. 3B is more valuable than LF but I agree I don't think Nay is a great prospect either. My top 10 is: Norris Sanchez Pompey Osuna Castro Hoffman Barreto Pentecost Graveman Nay
  22. Better than it was but it still gives teams incentive to tank. The teams in the bottom 4-8 will mail it in the last 2 months of the season because the lottery is for only the number one spot unlike the NBA which drafts for the top 3 spots.
  23. Thats my thought as well. He sounds happy to be here and I could see why the players have a great relationship with him.
