  1. They wouldn't have to report since rosters expand before the 72 hours would be up. If you read the article that was posted you would know this.
  2. I wonder if the NHL has studied into the baseball team about whether the NHL would work in that market or not
  3. Yeah it would be a smart idea but watch the org not want to disrupt Buffalo's hunt for the playoffs. The org could of done this Stroman at the ASB but didn't.
  4. I don't think you can do that with the rules in the CBA. You can't jut give a guy an extra 10k for nothing.
  5. I would of took a bite then throw it at the scout.
  6. They lose 3 days of MLB salary, as a player I would be pissed off lol. My guess is the players wouldn't even leave Toronto.
  7. Sounds like he wits 88-90. He seems like a good depth guy to have as a 6th starter in case someone gets hurt and can give you 4-5 starts a season. If the Blue Jays can get something of value for him I would hope they trade him. These type of pitchers are usually pretty easy to find.
  8. More like his bad defence is negated by his superior pitch framing..
  9. My guess is he meant in the month of August alone.
  10. His GF's arms look massive. Brett Lawrie the female version.
  11. TSN.ca: Do you think this team, despite how it's gone in the last month, month and a half, is this team still really close? LIND: To making the playoffs? TSN.ca: Not this year but are you a player or two away? LIND: If you look at our, I don't know where I saw it, we're last in hitting and 27th in pitching, so I'd say we're more than a couple of pieces away. Lol Lind knows more than management. I'm sure the players are just as frustrated as the fans every time you watch Francisco strike out or a routine play being botched by a player that shouldn't be here. I still can't believe the team never addressed 2nd base for the entire season.
  12. If you are going to keep all those guys whats the point of trading Bautista? Might as well go for it next year and if you falter deal the guys at the deadline. Buehrle is probably more valuable to trade at the deadline since there will be a pro rated amount of his salary remaining.
  13. You would find it hard if someone gave him 5 Million? Look at what Josh Johnson got..I know JJ was a lot better pitcher than Morrow but the point remains that there will always be a team looking to get a steal on a buy low contract.
  14. You start him in the minors and if he dominates AAA you maybe bring him up in May/June. Delay that service time clock.
  15. Sorry.. I'm not writing a novel ms. Shakespeare
  16. Never said impact. I said he can be a overall above average LF and put up 3 WAR which is very valuable. Now that might be his celing but he has a higher chance to at least be a contributor at the MLB level and that would be a success for a guy who was drafted where he was. Side note- Sean Reid Foley went 3 IP with 4H 0BB 6SO. If thats his last start that is a good way to finish off the season.
  17. Melky is a free agent?
  18. Ask Moogy not me lol. He disagrees for the sake of disagreeing.
  19. Moogy is just trying to be the Mike Wilner of the board.
  20. If Pompey was a bit darker they would look very similar
  21. looks like a bigger, older version of Pompey lol. Same kind of face.
  22. The Matt Holliday example was about hs value this year, not his career. Use Michael Morse instead then who has only put up 1 WAR with a 135wRC+ in more PA than Ackley. Value is value no matter what position you play. Alex Gordon doesn't have to be the best hitter in the MLB to be one of the most valuable players in the MLB because he provides value through defence and baserunning. All I am saying is it is stupid to say DSJ is not a good prospect because he doesn't hit for enough power to play LF. If he hits for a high average and gets on base at an above average rate while being average on the bases and good in the field he will be a valuable player.
  23. If he keeps throwing his curveball 40% of the time his elbow is going to explode pretty soon.
  24. Thats pretty dumb reasoning. Any pitcher that has Simmonds at SS isn't going to have any mental lapses because they know they have the best SS in the game behind them.
