  1. I'll take the under on 5 Wins. Yeah he's been great defensively so far but its a long season and I feel like it would be tough to maintain this level of defensive performance. Guys get banged up with the grind of the season, plus crashing into walls/playing on turf takes a toll on the body. He's been incredible so far but he's not going to play a +5OAA/+8 DRS per 150 inning pace the whole season lol. His underlying offensive numbers make him more look like the hitter he's been his entire career thus far.
  2. Yeah I would agree with that. He's the best GM in the game because of his ability in contract extensions. Getting so many players to sign for peanuts is actually absurd when you think about it.
  3. Vladdy is annoying as f*** with these gestures for reviews. Like you're wrong 90% of the time just sit the f*** back down.
  4. By gate 10/11 pregame they have a bunch of activities set up, so I would check that out. I don't have kids myself so not the most familiar but the TD zone in the 500 level has been popular among families from what I've heard. One tip is avoid the Gardiner pre/post game if you can. The traffic of late has been just horrible since they've closed a lane down. Either go early or take public transit.
  5. Pretty sure the Rays had something like 12 picks in the first 2 rounds the one year and didn't have much of anything to show for it. You still got to give credit to a FO for employing the strategy, its not like every team was doing it..
  6. I don't think anyone actually believes this lineup is good enough to match up with other playoff teams. The best outcome is they pitch/play defense well enough to make the postseason and then get lucky and win a couple games. Luck definitely plays a part in postseason success so at least the Jays would have a chance. When pitching is tough the most efficient way to score runs is via the HR and the jays offence just doesn't have much power.
  7. He certainly looks like father time has caught up with him but there really isn't anyone else on the roster that would be an ideal leadoff hitter. 2-4 right shouldn't change and Varsho is a low OBP guy/above average power guy so he's better off further down the lineup. Biggio is really the only guy that walks a lot and he isn't good enough to hit leadoff.
  8. Scottie has another chance to win today, man if he wins this week that's an all time run he's on. Probably the closest we've gotten to peak Tiger. Remains to be seen if he could continue this pace as the field is so so good now, but really fun to watch. He's also going to have a kid soon, and doesn't really seem like that Tiger/MJ type of personality in terms of wanting to be the greatest ever, but its tough not rooting for the guy.
  9. Yeah you'll still get the email. Tbh you buy 1 MLB ticket for any stadium now and you'll get junk emails every day for life lol. Gates I think are 90 min before.
  10. I would have to think they would go and get help at the deadline, they’ve got a ton of these 1-2 win type players/prospects on the cusp that they’ll need to make a decision on anyways. May as well parlay that into an impact bat. Good news is most of the rotation has a history of health but it is pitching so you never know. Better to have the number 6-9 guys suck/get injured than the top 4 guys. Vladdy looks to be a middle of the order bat so far which is one of the best things that could have happened. He might always underperform the quality of contact type metrics but from what I’ve seen in comfortable pegging him as a 130-140wRC+ type. Turner has been all anyone could have asked for and Bo should rebound. Springer and Kirk have looked more like last year than anything else, at least Jansen is back and healthy. The AL East looks like a bloodbath again this year, so I feel like a lot is going to come down to the inter-division games.
  11. Varsho even looks better on defence this season. Let’s see if he can carry forward some of the success with the bat and show it just isn’t a hot streak. Even if he still comes in around a 100wRC+ guy the defence and baserunning should be enough to make him a 3+ win player.
  12. If the rotation can stay healthy they should be a mid to high 80 win team and you would hope they can acquire a bat or 2 at the deadline. But the rotation depth has evaporated pretty quickly from what it looked like heading into the season. I’m interested to see if the ball starts carrying more at Roger’s centre when the roof is open because so far balls are just dying in the outfield.
  13. Catcher is such a demanding position physically that I’d rather just do a 60/40 split and keep both guys fresh. Kirk has been elite defensively and can put up a few good Abs even if his power is gone.
  14. Stroman, Sanchez, Hutchison, Boyd, Norris and Alvarez is actually a pretty decent crop of talent who had success. Of course some of those guys got hurt and faded but at least they provided value in the rotation for a few years.
  15. I really like Rory this week, finally thinks he gets it done.
  16. Relax its a joke. You can prolly take a dick easier up the ass than a joke.
  17. Lots of people do, country has really gone downhill the last few years…
  18. Especially when a lot of the plate appearances have looked terrible. It’s one thing if these guys were having good at bats and hitting the ball hard and getting unlucky. Buts there’s been a ton of swings at bad pitches early in the count with soft contact.
  19. Yeah Berrios did a great job to get outs when he didn't have his best stuff, even admitting after the game he didn't feel great on the mound. Great job battling it out when he didn't have his swing and miss breaking ball. Nice to get a win, hopefully the offence can get going because a lot of guys are off to tough starts so far. Bullpen looks good without 2 of their big arms at the back of the pen.
  20. I wouldn't mind Biggio at 3rd and Schneider at 2nd for the next few games. Biggio looked decent there at the end of last season. Or if they really want Biggio at 2nd, have Turner start at 3rd and Schneider DH. IKF and Ernie can come in for defence late in the game if the Jays have the lead, but the Jays need all the offence they can get right now.
  21. Turner has looked fantastic to start the season, great at bats and hitting the ball hard often. I love his setup at the dish with getting set so early.
  22. Wonder if the neck is contributing to it, because Bo actually improved a lot last year on D but yeah this year he looks like the early 2020s defender he was. At his age I doubt his next contract is to play at SS tbh. Vladdy really has no excuse, 1B is the easiest position on the diamond and he can't pick a ball that hos 5 feet in front of him.
