Lopez is pretty sloppy behind the plate. People complain about Martin's contract but he's soo much better value even at that cost compared to the alternatives.
Verlander is one of the best at throwing 4 seams high. A pitch located at the very top of the strike zone is probably tougher to hit than one down in the zone anyway.
The NL West really is the worst year for interleague. Having the Nats come to town is cool but since we play the Braves or Phillies every year and they suck it gets tiring. With the other divisions you're either getting Dodgers/Giants or Cubs/Pirates
Well the Jays intentions are to make the playoffs next year. You don't not trade Donaldson then stick Hernandez and Alford out there in starting roles (Likely around replacement level at this stage given their rookies).
We all saw what happened with Pompey.
You shouldn't go into the season with any of the young guys penciled in as starters. Have them in AAA as depth. Its been barely a week and a half for them in the Majors, don't forget Urena was crap all year.
Cleveland has a really fun team to watch. Bauer is really annoying but Lindor, Kluber, Ramirez, EE, Carrasco, Miller and Allen are some of the most likeable players.
Went to the game tonight. Even though it didn't mean anything was a decent game. Being able to see a triple play was pretty cool as was seeing Urena's first career HR.
Random thing: was absolutely freezing with the dome open. Was wearing a jacket with pants and hands were still numb. Still was better than the dome being closed though.
