  1. Nice Gibby bring in the guy who can't strike anyone out with a runner on 2nd. Nothing bad can happen.
  2. Jays have 2 more innings to score or it is over. That's assuming Price even keeps the game at 2-1.
  3. There is no way in hell an ump would apologize for a missed call unless it was something like that ump who got the call wrong at 1st on that no hitter a few years back. Umpires have egos as big as Jose Bautista's. They won't apologize for anything. Volquez is full of s***.
  4. Yeah, Price in the playoffs (FIP be damned) isn't something I'd be super confident about. Estrada and Stroman are definitely the two top guys for the team this post season.
  5. Price is due for a damn win in the post season as a starter.
  6. I think someone will give him a three year deal. Whether he takes the risk of declining the QO is the question. He definitely seems like a guy that Dave Stewart will overpay.
  7. Yeah, qualifying Estrada is a no brainer. He won't accept coming off the season and post season that he's had. Even if he does, it's a one year deal when the Jays have practically no SP depth. No lose situation.
  8. Watching the FS1 post game, and Pete Rose is asking for a right hook to the face by mocking Frank Thomas.
  9. Estrada was huge today. Keep prolonging the season guys. Not ready for the Jays season to end.
  10. Need to get 3 starters somehow, and they have to be good. AA has a lot of work to do.
  11. This is destiny. The Jays were destined to avenge the 1985 loss the same exact way. I'm not sure if the Baseball God's knew about John Gibbons when they made this scenario happen, it's highly possible that's Gibby's stupidity far outweighs the power of fate, but let me believe for a few moments before reality strikes.
  12. In the grand scheme of things, was Osuna in the bullpen for a season really worth it? Stretching him out will probably take two years to do effectively, and chances are any stretching out will happen in the Majors, so they'd be killing two years of additional control for development years.
  13. Fair enough. Replace with: a team that makes the playoffs a s*** ton of years in a row.
  14. Given the Tulo acquisition, it wouldn't surprise me if AA targets Votto. $20M a year for everyone!
  15. Well, dynasty meaning they'll make the playoffs for a long, extended period of time. Obviously winning the WS depends on many factors some of which unrelated to talent.
  16. DeGrom, Syndergaard, Harvey, Matz, Wheeler. Damn, the Mets are going to be a dynasty if those dudes stay healthy.
  17. Gibbons doesn't trust Hendriks as a reliever so starting him might actually mean he'll get used next season. I think the "Hendriks traded to LA for PTBNL" is a strong possibility though, especially if Gibbons has an impact on roster decisions as rumored (Valencia).
  18. Yost out-managing Gibbons is hysterical to me. Too bad it has resulted in Jays losses, but otherwise, being out-managed by someone as bad as Yost is beyond embarrassing. Yost has removed starters at the right times, used his bullpen effectively, and even with his lineups, their offense has done pretty well against a rotation including Price, Stroman, free agent year Estrada, and pretty damn good in the 2nd half Dickey. But whatever. This season, combined with AA's inevitable return, will prolong the agony of having to watch Wobbles manage for a few more years.
  19. Osuna, Sanchez, Lowe in a blowout. Hawkins and Tepera in a 3-run game. Gibbons in a nutshell.
  20. Sanchez can't get lefties out and can't strike anyone out. He shouldn't be starting. Osuna, yes. Gibby will remove Hendriks after he gives up an infield single. Can't risk it.
  21. I wish the Man in White wasn't on vacation during the ALDS. Jays might have actually hit Gallardo and Hamels if he was there. Thankfully his Vegas vaca is over and he was able to make it for Game 3.
  22. The Jays have Young and then Volquez away from KC. They can win both games. They NEED both games. Getting the series back to KC is obviously vital but getting it back there with a lead is more important.
  23. Osuna started warming up after an infield single to start the inning. Gibbons did not trust Hendriks to hold a 7 run lead. It had nothing to do with the game being close or securing a win. The game was never in doubt regardless of how many comebacks the Royals have made this post season (a grand total of 2).
  24. KC is definitely a good team. Their hitters are good too regardless of Yost's lineup. Getting this win was huge, but they need to get the next 2 now. Need some margin for error if they take it back to KC.
  25. Mark Shapiro would be a hero in Toronto if he demanded the firing of Gibbons after the season. COme on Mark. Bring your own guys in. I know you want to.
