  1. 2010-11 AA would have. Not the current one.
  2. Great rotation, good enough offense, and a good closer. They are a scary team in a short series. Hoping the Cubs beat them, but I doubt it.
  3. He's a utility player starting in place of an injured starter. Anything the Jays get out of him aside from his usual great defense would be nice.
  4. If the Jays advance I want to face the Cubs. I don't think I can stand facing Syndergaard and rehashing that s*** trade for 2 weeks.
  5. I'm rooting for the Cubs, but I think the Mets take it.
  6. Osuna likes the bullpen and Sanchez likes starting, but both are better doing the opposite of what they like. The problem with Osuna is the jump in innings next year as a starter. Can his arm handle it?
  7. Osuna to the rotation, Sanchez stays in the pen. That's the way things should play out.
  8. Jays never had a problem developing talent under Ash and appear to be even better at developing talent under AA. Don't let a decade of JP Ricciardi drafts cloud reality. The Jays develop talent, either internally or in trades. They just didn't do so when Ricciardi was drafting 24-year DH's with no power in the first round.
  9. Tepera is trash. Take Buehrle even if he's not 100%.
  10. Estrada, Price, Stroman, and Dickey in that order looks the most likely.
  11. I didn't agree with the Price decision, but starting Stroman was a good call, and his pen use was good otherwise as well. I need to shower now having praised John Gibbons.
  12. Should be a good series.
  13. Unbelievable comeback! Awesome, awesome game.
  14. The ball hit off Choo's bat and went behind Martin. Odor would have scored easily, unless Donaldson was playing defense behind home plate for some reason. The question is whether the umpire's should have kept the original call or not. Choo did not interfere. It is what it is. But that's Martin's fault.
  15. Even if the defense didn't stop, Odor would have scored. What the hell are people arguing here? Choo was in the box and Martin threw it back to Sanchez without even paying attention. That's on him.
  16. Stop blaming the umpires. This 100% on Martin.
  17. This is the 2nd ball Martin has thrown away that has lead to a run. Can't believe someone that good can make mistakes so stupid. Just f***ing stand up and throw it back to Sanchez. Holy s*** what a stupid play.
  18. Russell Martin should be traded for that play alone. What a f***ing joke.
  19. If the Jays need a lefty late in the game, Price will be in. There's no question about that. He won't pitch a lot, but he'll be the LOOGY.
  20. Price has a shitload of mileage on his arm, is in his 30's, and will get at least a seven year deal starting at $200m. I don't agree with the way the Jays used him yesterday, but who cares if he leaves after the season? His next contract has very little chance of being worth it for the team that signs him.
  21. Yes it does appear like Gibbons wanted to start Stroman in Game 5 but didn't want any controversy with Price, so he used Price in Gane 4, giving him an out to go with Stroman in 5. That's the only thing I can think of. Otherwise bringing Price in during a 7-1 game in the 5th when the starter was doing well makes no bleeping sense.
  22. The Jays were leading 7-1 and Dickey was pitching well. Gibbons did not avoid a disaster. He made an absolutely pointless move and cost his starter a win (which means something to him I'm sure), all while not increasing the teams odds of winning that particular game. It was Ned Yost levels of stupid.
  23. The look that most of us have when trying to find logic in John Gibbons decision making.
  24. Wow. Dickey pitched well. He at least deserved a chance to get the W in a 6 run game. Gibbons is gone full on Ned Yost here.
