  1. He's not been very good this season, including the playoffs (where he's been s***). You can live with his douchiness when he's a star, but when he's a DH parading as an outfielder that can't hit as well as he's used to, then it becomes more obnoxious than anything. The guy walked into spring training and created a distraction for no reason with his 5/150 BS, then proceeds to have his worst season since becoming a star, then gets punched in the face to become a walking meme for the rest of his life, and that still doesn't humble him enough. Now he has to blame umpires and talk s*** about a rookie that could easily shut the Jays out today with the way the bats have been swinging. It's just really annoying. You expect fans to be excited about him saying stuff like that? Any other player on another team, and we'd be calling him what he is. The Bautista we see today and in the future will not be the same Bautista that we saw from 2010-15. It won't happen. Maybe in his mind he is still that player, and maybe he does have a bounce back year in him, but more likely we are seeing the beginning stages of his decline. His s*** won't fly if he's not the same guy.
  2. He brought Osuna in when down 2 in Game 3 and up 4 in Game 4. He has no idea about leverage.
  3. Bauer walked two batters and had blood squirting out of his finger. Francona did not move in the dugout. Yet, Gibbons (seeing his team with an actual chance to score) makes the decision for Cleveland. True managerial genius.
  4. Yeah, lets not try to hire someone good. Other teams are employing s***** managers, so by god, the Jays should keep theirs!
  5. 3 more years of Martin, guys. I'm looking forward to it.
  6. They've pitched well, played great defense, had timely hits, and have been managed beautifully. I really don't care who wins the WS if the Jays are eliminated in the ALCS, but if Cleveland wins, it's no big deal for me. Team has played great ball.
  7. Honestly, I don't think he knows the percentages, otherwise his decision making (assuming he had a brain at all) would be different. I think he's just an old school guy who thinks the starter should be pushed until 100 pitches or until he gets into trouble rather than reading the situation and reacting on it. He's awful. Francona bitch slapped him in this series, to the surprise of no one.
  8. He hadn't reached 100 pitches yet, so Stro had to stay in. /Gibby logic. Anyone who thinks a manager doesn't make a difference, watch how Francona manages compared to the Hick the Jays have in their dugout.
  9. Bautista definitely got a meatball and just missed it. Damn, he's been awful this playoffs. How many more innings until Miller? Need to score again before he's on the mound.
  10. He has 3/60 left on his contract which covers ages 34-36 and is coming off his worst season in 7 years (based on WAR) at age 33. No team is touching that contract, especially with so many good framers in the league now.
  11. If the Jays lose this game, they can pack up and prepare for the off-season. This game is being spoon fed to them and they are f***ing it up so far.
  12. Thanks for starting Goins, Gibby. Keep doing it.
  13. When Gibbons makes one good move he has to offset it with a s***** one to still showcase his incompetence (hence why the right move in Jose leading off is countered with Goins starting). Oh well. Just win this damn game.
  14. The umpiring sucks across baseball. It's not just the Jays. Just shut up about it and work around it. Complaining about it won't accomplish anything positive. If Bautista didn't strike out on 3 pitches against Kluber in the first inning of game 1, or with runners on in game 2 against Tomlin (both swinging) and so on, then maybe the whining wouldn't be necessary. This dude has been complaining about umps forever. It's tired, and the fans latch on to it as some sort of Canadian conspiracy every single time. It's just bad umpiring that will always exist until they go to robots. Incompetence doesn't target anyone in particular in this case.
  15. Bautista is a douche. Always has been.
  16. If the Indians won both games by a combined score of 23-4, then it would have.
  17. Two pitches in the strike zone, take both of them, then swing at the slider out of the zone. This team needs a new offense next season. The pitching has saved them all season, and are trying their best to save them again, but it's not working.
  18. Take two pitches down the middle, complain to the ump, and then swing at a pitch at their shoes. It's like clockwork with how predictable it is.
  19. Man does it seem like the Jays take pitches until it's two strikes and then begin swinging (usually at bad pitches)? It's happened a lot.
  20. 1-1 heading back to Toronto would be fine with me. Jays were facing Kluber, but now the match-ups favor them considerably. Time to take advantage.
  21. Put Bautista at lead off and Tulo at clean up. Problem solved.
  22. Hell, half the 50k at RC are bandwagon fans.
  23. Gibby's love affair with Goins taking over.
  24. Diaz was Game 2 of the ALCS last year, right? He was consistent in that game but consistently awful.
