  1. Call up Jonathan Davis. He's actually doing well in AAA and has a useful skill set (plays D, speed, can hit lefties). I know Atkins is tanking but this is really bad. Hanson and Brito will pass through waivers so quickly no one will even notice.

What adjustment can they make, though? The bench is unplayable and only two players on the starting 5 can consistently create offense. Lowry is what he is now; a washed up version of what was already a playoff choker. Without a 3rd option or a capable bench player, I can't think of one damn thing the Raptors could do to turn things around, aside from Kawhi and Siakam playing like MJ and Scottie for 3 of the next 4 games like they did in game 1. I knew after game 1 of the Cavs series last year that a sweep was coming. You just have those feelings after a demoralizing loss. Felt the same thing after game 2 of this series. I think this is over in 6 with the Sixers winning, but I hope I'm wrong.

It's not the refs fault. Other than Kawhi and Siakam, no one else on the team can create for themselves now that Kyle is a combination of past his prime and "Playoff Lowry". I think if the Raptors win game 4 then they'll win the series, but it's not looking good right now. I really wish Masai could have traded Lowry either after he traded DeMar or at the trade deadline. If they lose this series and Kawhi leaves, he'll have wasted the team's best shot at making the finals by riding with Lowry too long. If Siakam didn't develop this year the Raptors would have been swept in this series. They lucked out.
  4. I've never seen a team/front office be gifted a generational talent and not want him to play. Between intentionally postponing his debut, to pinch running for him multiple times, and now benching him for a game despite an off day Monday. Gibby 2.0 would have played him every game and batted him 2nd.
  5. I like how open Felipe is about sleeping with his sister and no one cares. Not even hiding in plain sight.
  6. Jays need to solely focus on players who had dad's in the big leagues. They made a huge mistake letting DSJ go for the name alone.
  7. I hate pitching prospects. Draft hitters and then trade expendable prospect capital for pitching (or sign them).
  8. It's going to be Kawhi Pearson all season since he's on an innings restriction. But damn his domination of hitters is tantalizing.
  9. I like how someone can do an exaggerated Keith Law parody that is so ridiculous but yet so believable because Law is such a giant douche.
  10. Maybe it's to avoid him playing more than 9 innings. (I'm trying here).
  11. The league is trying to attract fans. That means they need home runs and offence, especially as teams get smarter about shifts/positioning. I say go back to juiced players. Screw it. Sosa and McGwire saved the game in the late 90's. Let the players look like Popeye and hit well into their 40's.
  12. Grichuk will have a hot streak in the summer that will make him look like a star. Other than that he is what he is. Low OBP hacker with power.
  13. Sanchez will be traded to the Braves. Book it. AA will get his golden child back.
  14. Drury in the outfield isn't ideal, but keep Sogard in there until he inevitably reverts back to normal, and anything that keeps McKinney out of the lineup works for me (bad defence, bad base running, projected to be below average with the bat.....what the hell is there to like?). Vlad batting 5th is bad though.
  15. Can't wait until he signs an 8 year, $10 million (total) contract with 2 team options with the Rays. They always find a way. (I hate the Rays).
  16. Never trade with the Rays. Ever.
  17. Really think they need to put him in the outfield.
  18. One way or another, the Jays have to make a decision. They made one with Grichuk. If they want to extend Stroman, do it now or prior to the trade deadline. If one or both sides are so far apart that there is no middle ground, then go for a trade. Can't afford to risk another JD situation where the asset value is practically nothing because they waited too long, or a Happ situation where Billy f'n McKinney is the main prospect coming back. I'd honestly be disappointed if Stro is traded. Say what you want about him, but I enjoy watching him pitch, and he likes taking the ball in the big games (ex. starting game 5 of the ALDS and saving us from a David Price implosion, starting the WC game despite everyone saying to start Liriano, etc). There is a confidence when he is on the mound. He's not an ace but he's really good. I'd try to keep him around.
  19. Well if they maintain their walk rates in a relief role (SRF and Perez in particular) then they'll be out of the league. Maybe focusing on 1 or 2 pitches and pitching an inning will help them. I don't think either one will be able to improve the control enough to start.
  20. Perez, Paulino, and SRF in the pen might be pretty decent. I haven't completely given up hope on starting for Paulino, but that's more wishful thinking at this point. I think all three would work well in the pen.
  21. Hector Perez: 2.2 IP, 4 H, 6 ER, 6 BB, 3 K. Now has allowed 15 walks in 16 innings. ERA over 10. Forrest Wall so far is 2-3 with a walk. He's had a pretty damn good start to the season.
  22. If Hanson was Jarrod Dyson on the base paths and was going to steal a base or two, then I can at least find logic in that, but getting a marginal upgrade in speed with 1 out and a runner on 1st is incredibly pointless, especially if it means taking your best hitter out of the lineup.
  23. I'm not against sac bunting if it makes sense to do so. Runner on 2nd, 0 out in a tie game in the 9th inning with Ryan Goins at the plate? Bunt the man over to 3rd. Play for one run when you need one run to win the game. But Montoyo's been doing it way too often in situations that do not resemble the above.
  24. Getting a CF upgrade, moving Grichuk back to right, and sending McKinney down to the minors would really help the team. No idea who that could be though. Certainly not Ben Revere. I wonder if Gurriel could handle CF. Seriously, there's practically nothing in the minors for outfielders now that Alford looks like s***. Moving Gurriel to the OF might be the best move.
