  1. Absolutely HAPPless performance by Happ.. even Safeco Field can't help him when he walks the park. Nuno now in..
  2. Boy, that Happ/Saunders trade is looking beneficial to neither team.. one's injured and the other sucks..
  3. Sucre really missed that (Smith was also to blame too.) But the Jays will take it.
  4. And Hutch gets out of a jam. Hopefully he settles down now..
  5. And with teams like the Tigers and O's sliding, the trade market is getting heavily glutted in SP..
  6. Plus, Tepera doesn't walk anybody, which Delabar does a lot of (4.0 BB/9IP). Right now, the Jays focus should be adding a starter ASAP.. we have enough bullpen options now.
  7. I meant that we didn't have a strong chance of beating King Felix unless we basically shut out the Mariners offense.
  8. Look, we weren't beating King Felix if we tried.. and Estrada just didn't have it last night. Luckily, Happ and Walker are beatable.. we beat Walker earlier in the season, and Happ has been awful. Take 2/3 and we're fine. As for the wild card.. like in the AL East, only Tampa and Toronto have any chance of catching the Yanks, Astros/Angels or the Twins. Baltimore is looking DOA, as is Detroit.
  9. They lose.. break for the Jays if we win. We can cut that gap to 4.5 if we beat the King.
  10. And they have Mark Trumbo on the roster not hitting or showing any plate discipline.. what a waste of a trade! Wellington Castillo could've been catching for the Mariners with Zunino at AAA right now.. Jack Z is an idiot.
  11. Well, that King Felix error is already hurting.. 1-0 Jays.
  12. You know, when we were in Seattle last year, we were tired out from all those extra inning games IIRC (19 innings the previous game vs. Detroit), and the roster those games were garbage.. case in point: http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SEA/SEA201408110.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SEA/SEA201408120.shtml http://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/SEA/SEA201408130.shtml How come the Mariners turned into such hot garbage in a year? It's basically the same roster..
  13. Well, that's an inauspicious start for the Mariners.. Reyes already in scoring position.
  14. If Hutch isn't able to go tomorrow, it'll be likely Todd Redmond or Randy Wolf who gets a start.. with Redmond most likely.
  15. Twins up 5-0 on the Yankees. Chance for the Jays to get closer in the division..
  16. Bring up Pompey or trade for a better defensive OF.
  17. No idea why.. but Navarro was going to play today anyway, as Martin has started 3 straight and there's a day game tomorrow. Navarro would've played yesterday if Hutch had pitched.
  18. He'll pitch Saturday.
  19. Wow, the Mets are desperate.. wonder what the return will be?
  20. Jays lineup--Martin gets an off day, Smoak in there:
  21. Hutch scratched (flu), Marco Estrada starting instead on regular rest. Jays fans can breathe a sigh of relief..
  22. Not a meaningful chart.. and that movie is dumb.
  23. Definitely not. In fact, I see the attendance falling further.. fans in St. Pete are as apathetic of Tropicana Field and the Rays (despite TV numbers) as the Montreealers were when Loria ran the Expos to the ground.. Rays fans know relocation is coming, as MLB seems to be really pushing for Montreal to build a new stadium so they can put a team there.. and they just might get it, especially as the city of St. Pete continues to sit on its hands on building a new stadium for the Rays.
