    Well, the Mariners pen is pretty shot after this game.. Taijuan Walker is going to need to go deep tomorrow. And of course, we have Buehrle.

    Of course, Smith wasn't going to retire anybody.. he was on his third straight day! Normally, most teams only use relievers 2 days in a row, not 3. Using a reliever 3 days straight is asking for trouble.. and McClendon just may have cost himself the game.

    Bautista! Go-Ahead run at 3rd, and Smith must be gassed because McClendon's using him for a 3rd straight day.

    Smith in to no one's surprise. Please run up his pitch count.. Mariners only have Beimel and a Rule 5er left in their pen. And BTW, this is his 3rd appearance in 3 days.

    Mariners better hope this doesn't go to extras. After Smith, all they have is lefty specialist Beimel and Rule 5er David Rollins. Mark Lowe is unavailable likely (threw back-to-back days)

    This'll likely be Nuno's last inning if he continues to struggle this inning.. he's hasn't thrown more than 40 pitches since he was traded from the D-Backs, and has mostly been used in short stints.

    40+ pitches in an inning and walking in 2 runs? No shocker the Mariners pulled the plug on him.. for Seattle, they'll be looking for arms from Tacoma after this game.. their bullpen is going to be taxed after this game, and they have erratic Taijuan Walker tomorrow.
