  1. Or you're a contrarian, Tanaka has a very real chance of pitching less than 50 innings.
  2. A lot of people think True detective is deep when it was really just a great crime drama.
  3. That's all I was asking for.
  4. This makes me think you don't really understand the characters motivations, That statement is overly simplistic and wrong. Hound was dope though, but not because he didn't ally (Since he did).
  5. The characters actually have depth in GoT and the difference between good and evil is quite nuanced. Is the Hound Evil?
  6. True detective was really good, but it's only one season. They may follow AHS and become filler after the first season, although I doubt it because HBO makes good TV. breaking bad was over rated
  7. Stroman because of control, health, and cost.
  8. If somebody watches GoT for the nudity or violence they are mouth breathers. Also it is the deepest show I've seen since the wire.
  9. I disagree, Doubt the front office would look to use him in the pen if they thought he couldn't get out MLB hitters.
  10. Could also be terrible, That list does not inspire confidence.
  11. 2 would be more likely, but he could do 3.
  12. If Sanchez starts I wouldn't be surprised if he puts up 3 WAR over 150 innings.
  13. True, but xfip doesn't think the difference would be that pronounced. Just another reason it dropped so much this season.
  14. He also went from terrible HR/9 to great HR/9.
  15. Smoak is terrible, hopefully they end that experiment quickly.
  16. He DH'ed last season and they had Lind, so as this roster stands he will get starts at DH next season. Not a good DH, but better than smoak or Pillar.
  17. Well if you let him walk you get a pick. which may not be worth nearly as much as the surplus value the player had actually been worth and if you don't win that value is wasted. If a team can't win and can't extend a player of notable value they should always trade the player.
  18. You can't build a good baseball team by making no decisions. Works better if you have somebody smart make decisions.
  19. Lot's of unrealized gains.
  20. Navarro would be a good backup catcher and he is currently the teams best option at DH, unless they find somebody to play first. AA has likely made it known he is available, but he has probably just got teams offering to take him off their hands. Once the better options are off the table he may receive more interest. Also he only wants a trade so he can be the starter, but most teams likely view him as a backup.
  21. Just figured I'd throw it on the pile.
  22. I doubt that, may effect the way he approaches Stroman though.
  23. Or he has some conviction behind his staff's ability to judge a players talent. I would like to think AA is smart enough not to have a rigid stance on anything like that. Each case is unique and should be treated as such.
  24. He extended them before they had proven their increased level of play was real and permanent. if he had waited those deals would not have been possible. any time you want surplus value you have to make a bet.
