  1. Gotta wonder at this point what AA's plan for the bullpen is. Is he comfortable with the bullpen as is?
  2. I agree, but a platoon would be better than Pillar being inserted into the lineup in an arbitrary way. Saunders doesn't have a huge split, If he's hitting it's fine, But Pillar has hit well only against lefties.
  3. I have always thought Pillar is s***, but his splits show he could be useful. I would also hedge against that bet, but may as well see if he can keep it up.
  4. I would be okay with a Saunders/Pillar platoon, at least until Pillar proves his splits were due to SSS.
  5. Pillar isn't ideal, but not many teams have good 4th outfielders, Any player worth more than 2 WAR over a full season is already getting full playing time. In my view Bullpen is by far the biggest concern, Hoping for fluky good performance from mediocre players due to small sample size is dumb.
  6. I don't think it's a Bautista window so much as a good offense window at this point. They will need to rebuild the offense after 2016, although adding Donaldson will make that easier.
  7. It would be money better spent elsewhere.
  8. What they paid for the stadium has no effect on what is the most profitable way to move forward, Also I really doubt the Sale of Rogers centre could come close to paying for a new stadium regardless of where it's built.
  9. I don't think Toronto spends much on foreign aid. Spending tax money on a sports stadium somebody else gets to own is stupid, Very low priority infrastructure.
  10. They cant get rid of pitchers intentionally hitting batters, It would be impossible to get rid of intentional walks.
  11. Even if they have U.S. income to cover it, It would still be a wash since they wouldn't be able to take advantage of those American dollars on earnings, As time goes on it will be like a tax on the Jays.
  12. The Canadian dollar has gone to garbage as well, I assume it doesn't matter this season, but this could be bad if it stays this low.
  13. They need a bullpen, everything else is secondary. I think a terrible bullpen will hurt them in the stands worse than the WAR total projects.
  14. Agreed, but he was blowing it.
  15. Or shown to be completely ridiculous, Now taking all bets.
  16. I doubt he would only hire people with math backgrounds if he didn't care for the math, Just doesn't make sense. Arencibia and Gomes were his two worst judgement calls, I suppose you could add Napoli(He is terrible at catchers it seems). I always like to debate people that know what they are talking about.
  17. Hoping on high ceiling injured players has definitely been his biggest weakness, I hope he has learned from this, but time will tell.
  18. The Jays aren't that dumb, But Ed Rogers? That's my concern, I hope I'm just paranoid.
  19. Yeah makes Ed Rogers look like the guy from Foxcatcher.
  20. I believe the tampering rumours and the Hoffman rumours, I know AA would never trade Hoffman for DD, But if he wasn't making the call who knows.
  21. You could say he played the Baseball game of thrones
  22. If he doesn't like sabermetrics, why does he acquire players the sabermetric community think are good players and get rid of the ones they think are bad. Isn't he on record saying if he had to choose a stat to judge a player on, it would be K% and BB%. I also prefer thin girls and am not in on the joke so I apologize, Just know quite a few people that hate fat people unconditionally and they are all stupid. Also I'm not doubting any information you have, I'm glad we have you as a resource, But that doesn't make your opinions any more accurate or less open to debate.
  23. So yeah ego, You think you know best. He does value high ceilings over high floors which has burned him before, Although when he tried for a high floor he got McGuire. He cares about surplus value otherwise he wouldn't make control a major part of any acquisition and why he doesn't sign players if they pass what he thinks their value is, The only reason he signed Martin was because he thought he would get surplus value from his defense that the market didn't factor in. As far as the future goes he has had many opportunities to trade away top prospects, but hasn't done so. I understand that depth is important, but not as easy to acquire as you may think and having a plan B in baseball is wishful thinking, Plan B is next season. The Fat person thing makes me think you're just some ******* who thinks he's smarter than he is.
