    Walker became a media and fan deity for "fixing" Robbie Ray. Did he "break" Berrios? Facetiously. He is picking right up where '22 left off. Spin rate 18th percentile and he looks so hittable if he misses at all. Glass half full at some times he looked a little better last night. His whole body language on the mound is terrible and he panicked on the ball back to him last night. Sure hope they can get it worked out. So frustrating to give up 2 top prospects (at the time) and that deal to watch this.

    A W tomorrow and it’s a great road trip to start the season.

    It’s an interesting approach to get rid of Teo and LGJ in moves to improve the D with Varsho and KK. But then have such a below average defensive player at SS - such a premium defensive position. I guess you can argue with their D and his offence it offsets better overall.

    hmmm....well I think you are more enamored with the FO than I, so you knew. I didn't. My view of them is more tempered for a few reasons. I am content too on the deal (s) in totality also. No risk no reward.

    In isolation the trade is very debatable. A RP with only one elite yr who didn't pitch much high leverage - 3 years control and a lotto ticket for a rock solid 130 stick in a year we want to really contend(even if we aren't resigning). Pen arms are just f***ing risky and its not like Swanson throws 102. Its the splitter or bust. Teo is off to a slow SEA start but SSS. When you look at the deal with the KK and Varsho deals, and the goal to improve the OF D in '23 and beyond, it totally makes sense. Didnt like his split last night but I'm sure glad we have him in our pen this year.

    Bo just smashes the soft stuff when he is sitting on it. Big knock for us.

    Bassitt improvement. Wasn’t great at all but kept us in game. Good sign.

    The new rules don’t make him throw a 90 meatball to Trout, promptly hit to Japan. As you say he had all Spring to work the new rules.
