In isolation the trade is very debatable.
A RP with only one elite yr who didn't pitch much high leverage - 3 years control and a lotto ticket for a rock solid 130 stick in a year we want to really contend(even if we aren't resigning). Pen arms are just f***ing risky and its not like Swanson throws 102. Its the splitter or bust.
Teo is off to a slow SEA start but SSS. When you look at the deal with the KK and Varsho deals, and the goal to improve the OF D in '23 and beyond, it totally makes sense. Didnt like his split last night but I'm sure glad we have him in our pen this year.
