    Well they got done what we needed Bo or Vlad to do. Great 2 out 2 run contact on a pretty decent pitch off the plate. FK.

    To be fair Springer crushed a ball. Bo took a strike without a pitch. Needed to put a ball in play. Vlad had a solid at bat. The outcome sucked.

    100%. I saw Merryweather pitched for the Cubs today. 2 K's in an IP. Gave up a hit.

    Just watched SEA lose by 2. Had bases loaded bottom 9 and Matt Bush shut them down. Off to a tough start. Teo rockin' a 90 wRC+. No doubt he will get hot but he ain't right now.

    I looked it up last yr but I think he has lost about 4 MPH off his FB from peak Kershaw but he is still getting it done with command and repertoire. Incredible. #HOF bound. Wainwright is another one.

    Manoah was always a worry for me - Thought it was silly he started the season and home opener over Gausman. Over rated. Over hyped. Over weight. The Twitter wars he gets into. Average V. Whiff and K issues. Command issues. Needs a + 3rd pitch to succeed long term near '22 levels. He is much better than his starts this season, but I don't think he is a #1 on a championship caliber team. Might not even be a legit #2.

    Bit of a shame some people throwing shade on Kirk game calling with Manoah struggling. Last year he caught Alek when he was pitching better, and we heard none of this.

    I like him and his arm. He battles. I never liked the hype or some of the cockiness. I couldn’t watch the Hazel Mae series on him. I mean I want him to do well for himself, his Mom and the team 100%, but too much hype for my liking. Over time it rubs a lot of people wrong. Remember how awesome 2015 was with Stro coming back and pitching well when few thought he could? “Wolverine”. Eventually a lot of people went sour on all the hype. Especially when he didn’t deliver on the bump.

    I had friends saying we needed to back up the truck for Manoah early. This is not Strider or Cease. He is better than this clearly but there are reasons to project him anywhere 2-4. Kind of like Stro was for us any given year.

    Sort of. But he sort of does too. He was super lucky last year. Most expected regression but he not this bad. 19 pitches one out. Nice to see a more V today but mostly everything is to the right.
