  1. I would do same for Teo if there. "Mr. Seeds" What a dumb nickname. That couldn't have been real. Whats that in Spanish? Sr. Semillas. I have good feeling about tonight.
  2. LOL! Gov. Too funny. I hope Teo gets a big welcome. Im ok with the trade but he seems like just a good guy. And he gave us lot to cheer…and curse about. He made his bones as a legit big league impact player in our country.
  3. They will figure him out and win tonight - book it.
  4. Thats logical. I don't know enough about these probabilities and pick value/success rate to even argue with you. Too much is invested in these picks emotionally juxtaposed against ^ reality. I yield to you and Brownie. Pop and Bass for Groshans = huge win. Praise be.
  5. Bah. Not sad...just cant see it as a huge win.
  6. We used #12 th overall pick for Groshans. Who else could we have had? Sure, Pop looks like a promising pen arm. Will he be a Clay Holmes? Maybe. But when a 12th turns into Bass and Pop I'm ok with it, as lots of top picks don't work out, but I can't look at it as a huge win. Bass was ok for us last year - 4.63 FIP in a SSS and wasnt good in our short playoffs. This year he full on sucks so far.
  7. No. I'm no Eno Sarris but I've looked at his career minors and majors. I'm not saying he will be gone based on 2 months as a Jay. Thats SSS. I'm saying if he doesn't produce this year he will be gone. Now he coming back from IL. Bass is in the same boat. He came over with high hopes. Board loved the move as his SL was so dominant last year. But he has pretty much sucked for us. If he turns it around he will stick and if he doesn't they will DFA him. White only got 150 MLB IP - FIP under 4. BB and K rates meh. I hope he can find it and help us. We'll need decent innings chewed up. They obviously thought he could do this and thats why they got him. I just dont think the leash is going to be very long. My point is the team is in win now mode - they will always have an eye on future control - but I think they will be pretty ruthless.
  8. Not sure about that if he is out of options. They see potential but they are in win now mode. If he gets lit up and cant even give them decent quality IP he will be gone like donkey kong. Just like Buntoyo last year. 1 day he be gone.
  9. Don’t the stats say Vlad and Chappy aren’t very good at D?
  10. This is the perfect inning for him up 7-0. Nice rebound Nate! You ain’t never going back down son.
  11. He looks a little rough on the command front but I’m sure he is nervous. V is ok.
  12. Just caught up on PVR. So nice to see Biggio get a big hit. I was shocked for a second. I thought it was Varsho. Bassitt dealing some poo mix. Lookin' like our Jays so far. Keep it up men.
  13. I agree. I never noticed a Lemon or Carlson on the Jays roster or on the Bisons. Start an Off topic thread to discuss Carlson and Lemon - couldn't stand either of them.
  14. I keep forgetting Green. Man if comes back and he is actually Green, that’s a massive upgrade.
  15. I don't have huge expectations but I am excited to give a healthy Big Nate some leash. When we took off in 2015 guys like even Sanchez bolstered our pen significantly. And the big RHP who hurt his leg in the pen/bench clearing. Cant remember name. When we lost Cecil in '15 that hurt us big time.
  16. Chicken Strip going vs the Mets. Let’s go Strip!
  17. Banking early W's like the Yanks did last season to ride out some inevitable regression. They are unconscious right now. We have to keep pace as much as possible and hope we can get on major run.
  18. Main things he appears healthy, and he is hitting the ball hard. Even the first game people forget, of those hits, a couple of flares dropped. Not worried about him.
  19. Of any concerns about this team, Springer overall offensive performance is the least.
  20. Really nice to see Varsho get a knock. He has been struggling mightily! Nice series W!! Our pen is better than this, but not by enough.
  21. Trying to think of a Pop (Jiffy), Bass and popcorn joke but nothing is coming. Seriously get that SL working and V going Bass, and GTF off Twitter.
  22. There you go courtesy Jano. As much as yesterday's outcome sucked, 2/3 at Yankee Stadium would be a big success.
  23. Great bounce back start from Jughead. Quintessential Ace! Nice IP Swanson.
  24. Other nice things about not investing money in the pen, in addition to being able to abuse most of your relievers, are missing the playoffs by a game and blowing a 7-1 lead to get knocked out of the playoffs.
  25. Yep. I’d add even with Biggio struggling I hate giving up outs just after a rope by Merrifield, who can run if need be. Bunting is really f***ing hard in todays game with these arms and we just suck at it.
