    Never heard that before with these Jays…the last 3 years. The pen will all be dead at this pace of IP anyway. Lack of RISP hitting and the decision to take out Alek killed us. If we can win tomorrow 2/3 at that stadium is a big deal. But it stings to have a Cole start right there to win and not close the deal.

    3-2 to 8 and BBs 9 on 5 pitches to turn over the order. Easy steal of 3B with less than 2 outs. These are the kind of situations last year he got lucky on a lot. Let’s see.

    "Early" just means praying for a rare run late like 2015. Thats a fools game. 2021 should put an exclamation point on that reality. Every W matters regardless of where it is in the season.

    Varsho sucko so far at the plate. Will he be the 98-108 wRC+ guy or the outlier Zips 130 projection bat? 89 now and 0.2 WAR. Will be interesting to watch. Teo has got it going with the stick 0.5 WAR.

    The AL East is going to be ridiculous. the whole D is over .500. Every W now matters as any other point in the season. We are going to need those Wins like last night - where a Belt and Kikuchi beat the Yanks in their Park - something most didn't expect. Today would be awesome to see Manoah bounce back and beat Cole.

    The Board doesn't seem to like takes in between. Its like there is a FO Fanboy take - they are brilliant and can do no wrong - they walk on water compared to everyone else and we got back to back 90+ W seasons - everything is awesome - you are all ignorant losers if you don't realize how great they are - don't look at the prospects dealt - or the bad signings & deals - the unsigned long term pieces and the escalating payroll - playoffs are 1 million percent a crap shoot and then there are the takes that we should fire them all - they suck. Not much in between. Overall this FO has been solid IMO. Lots of positives and lots of room for criticism. Thats the point of the Board IMO - to debate these things and to vent sometimes when we feel the need to, as die hard Jays/baseball fans.

    Not a strong night for the pen.The Astros stud shut us down and got some luck on Springer. Going to Pop after 77 pitches in a one run game when Berrios was cruising, with an off day tomorrow, is puzzling.
