    Yep. His Baseball Savante page was awful on O and D. He isnt even THAT fast. 79th percentile. Chapman is 78th.

    Aggressive Jim. This is DET and he looks just ok. Not many whiffs. He got lucky on Baez brain cramp. Nice to see a little more V when he reaches back.

    Alvarado was virtually unhittable in the stretch and most of the playoffs last year. 99-102 with that SL and BBing few. Seranthony stepped up. Part of any pen success is always getting hot at the right time too.

    Yep. Pop has upside. 2 seamer with V and looks like his off speed stuff is better this season. They need Swanson to be '22 for sure. The 64% use of the SL by Romano is puzzling. But it works mostly for him/us. His FB command he doesn't seem to trust as much right now.

    In terms of adding it is too early. Agreed. We have what we have for now unless a Pearson or a Zulueta can add. Just curious how people feel about how we stack up vs our AL East and wildcard comp.

    Agree with this take. I think its a bit light now. Yimi, Swanson (we hope) and Romano are your only real "no-brainers" with reliable stuff +. Those 3 will get touched up occasionally, but so does Josh Hader. Richards has a + change and Bass with the SL but just not consistent enough, at least now. The variable of Green matters for the stretch and playoffs. The variable of Ryu matters as a spot SP and long man if he has anything left. I don't see him, now anyway, as a playoff roster option.

    True but Hand was the definition of "an arm" for the PHI in 2022. Like a Thornton. His BB and K rates were 4.6 and 7.6 with a 4 FIP. In '21 we picked him up and used him in leverage.

    That hurts but the big question is what they cost - Are they Austin Riley ish deals or some of the other bizarre stuff we are seeing?

    Hoping for some non Homer FO fanboy and non Armageddon takes here. We are 6-4 even though its been pretty rough on the pitching front so far. Some of the smart guys OTB weigh in please (Assuming Green doesn't come back or if he does he isn't the Green of '22. Assuming Ryu gives us nothing) How do we stack up vis a vis other contenders based on key metrics? Do we need to add? I still feel like we need a couple of arms but maybe I'm just shell shocked from Brand Hand and Chatwood 21 - 22 ups and downs and what we have seen so far in '23.

Lol My wife is goign to shoot me when she gets back from a little bike ride with my daughter. I dont care. We won!!!!!!! What a heart attack.

    100%. Just too much f***ing around with that lead. Renfroe was sitting on it. I get that he K'ed Trout on a SL but he also threw a FB right by him.
