    Lets win Game 5 and hope Kryl is right. Its been very odd these last 3 appearances for Price...the 11 days rest....the almost CY winner not starting on 3 days rest in Game 4. But who cares? We are in Game 5 back home. Was happy to see his V back up yesterday.

    Very few ever disagreed with your assessment. Every squirrel finds a nut now and then and he hit well for 6-8 weeks. Even if the guy can work the pitch count and get the odd single/BB its value I don't expect. Gibby cannot hesitate to pinch hit for him in Game 5 like he did in Game 2 when we have a chance to score 5th inning on. Especially against Hamels.

    No. You aren't. Something is up with Price they know but we don't. Last 3 outings he is really struggling. Right now Price isn't Price. Stro seems to have more pitches to get outs going for him now than Price. I like us for game 5. Our nerves are settled. The crowd is in there. We play well at RC and Stro Hamels is a good match up for us.

    Ill second that. Just a huge game and win amidst all the second guessing. Will be Hamels in 5....Rangers wont get too cute with Gallardo. Then again I thought our ace should be starting in game 4 or 5 so what do I know.

    Didn't like the decision to go with RA over Price for a bunch of reasons. Regardless we got the W. But RA delivered again, and was surprised he got the yank when he did but Choo had 2 hits off of him so a short leash. Nice job RA in your first ever playoff game.

    Tell me about it. lol! I'm obsessed. I didn't like the call to start RA at all. In the end it worked out for Game 4 and we are going to Game 5. I'm going to work with that!

    ^. This! I'm sick of this debate. I have been too worked about these decisions. Bottom line we have come back from a bleak abyss and are going to game 5 with a legit shot to pull off a huge comeback. Awesome stuff.

    Let's hope that doesn't happen but it won't factor into the FO decision regardless of what some on here may think. Personally, whatever he does today won't change my view. Go RA and Jays!

    The "Dickey Effect" on this GDT sucks. He is our guy today like it or not (I dont) but venting is probably better in the "game 4 starter" thread? I hope he comes up big for us. Go Jays!

    That's not the case. I watched Dickey in Anaheim in Aug get touched up for 5 in the 1st and then cruise for 5-6 more innings after that. The knuckler can come and go. Conversely we have seen him cruising...then a couple BBs and /or a passed ball and a bomb in later innings.

    ok. time to end the second guessing and focus on this line up and starter. Hope RA puts together another solid start and the guys take the approach they had from the 2nd inning on last night at the plate. E-Rex is locked in. Thanks Jonn. Go Jays!!!!!

    Sure. Start an inferior pitcher (good 2nd half) to our ace in a must win game against a LHH line up with lots of pop. If that inferior pitcher gets rocked, bring the ace starter or #2 SP in as a long reliever into high leverage after we fall behind. All of this when we could just start our ace. Makes total sense. We wouldn't really be here without Price or Stro either.

    Lol. I like that you are back the board. Your posts are never dull and you love to argue and say what you think. Chi Chi sucks but pitching to Tulo in that situation sucks even more.

    ^ They put up 5 runs hitting into 4 DPS. Tex got lucky. If they continue to make solid contact they will score more. The 2nd time around the order last night they looked like our offense again. Patient but deadly if the pitcher comes in. I wasn't happy Gibby didn't pinch hit for Goins in game 2. I don't think he is seeing the ball well and I hope he doesn't mess around today if we get into a situation we need to score in.

    It wasn't so much Chi Chi as it was Chi Chi pitching to Tulo in that situation. Bad decision. Marquez had a solid consistent zone last night and that's all you can ask for. Little complaining from either team who seemed relieved after the Vic show in game 2.

    Agree. Either. Torre was "Aw shucks" sandbagging us or he isn't as bright as I kind of thought he might be. As if precedents aren't relevant in appeal? What good lawyer wouldn't love a chance to cross examination that explanation.

    meh...maybe. You don't know that. If he plays, maybe Martin and Estrada have a solid game and Martin hits a bomb off LHP like Tulo did. They went with the karma of that duo. It worked out regardless so I'm happy for that.
