  1. I was. A lot of pitchers fight through arm fatigue...soreness etc and still pitch. He wouldn't necessarily be unavailable. They wont tell us, but 11 days rest and going to RA if there is a game 4 tends to indicate that to me. I don't know. Mark B his last few starts fought through those issues.
  2. Thanks but to me that doesn't explain no start in game 4 if there is one. Nobody ever said he couldn't pitch or he wouldn't have started Game 1 on 11 days rest. It has to be all hands on deck in pen especially since we lost Cecil.
  3. Going to Navvy isn't the end of the world. But he isn't a starter for many teams...maybe a couple. Martin's game 2 shouldn't be an issue. Our best 5 hitters were for 3 for 27 and need to do better. Anytime you choose to play an absolutely crucial game without your best line up its a very debateable decision. If we were up 2-0 it would raise some eyebrows but wouldn't be as large of an issue.
  4. Well said ( I think)! Time to focus on game 3. Without a W we have no game 4or 5 issues to worry about. Go Jays! Pumped for this game. We will win.
  5. no prob. thanks. I watched him enough from 19 rows up mowing through us for 2 games. would be happy not to see him again unless we are lighting him up.
  6. FTL or MJ or whatever/whoever you are. "This team should be embarrassed" is a troll thread. Whats the point of it? Salt in wounds. The team is upset with their play I'm sure. We are upset as fans and hoped for more. Some things went wrong. But it happens. Its playoff baseball. The best team doesn't always win a 3 of 5. If you are watching the other series its happening to other good teams as well. Its your right to post it and my right to ignore it. Lets hope they win today. Go Jays!
  7. Yup. Was just looking at another post typing fast but thanks for pointing out the spelling mistakes on the board. You must be so knowledgeable lol.
  8. Well their s*** ass #9 Catcher went deep off our ace so it would be nice to return the favour. But Id rather have Martin face Diekman
  9. look at what Dallas K did for HOU in the WC game on 3 days rest. We didn't trade Norris and Boyd for a LH reliever out of the pen. More to this story. If Price started game 4 and was on....there might not even be a need for a LHP from the pen.
  10. http://www.sportsnet.ca/baseball/mlb/gibbons-dickey-to-start-potential-game-4-for-blue-jays/ not according to Gibby
  11. Something is up with Price that we will hear about after the season. There is no other explanation to take an ace (who has had a couple sub par starts) and not give him the ball with our backs to the wall.
  12. Thanks EMK. Hmmmm....need the stats-nerds to weigh in on this. Seems like a really subjective opinion. Martin caught Mark B this season and he had overall a pretty good year for a guy whose arm failed him at the end of season.
  13. what are you watching on? Cant find it on TV and my MLB premium no go for this game.
  14. If that's the decision (and its confirmed) there is something going on with Price we haven't been told yet.
  15. no, he isn't horrible. That's not really the point though. We have one of the best C in MLB on the bench is the point.
  16. Estrada's ERA is a run better with Navvy catching according to Gibby. What possibly could Navvy being doing that Martin couldn't, when Martin is > on every front? That's a serious question.
  17. I wanted it open too and was there. It was hot in the RC and I like the open dome atmosphere. But I don't think there has ever been a playoff game with it open. MLBs call on that is consistent. Their explanation was wind and temp. Whatever. The "dome" is open today.
  18. Here is a video of Madlock wiping out Jays Tony Fernandez in 87 ending his season. This s*** has been going on forever and been allowed to last. I hope you are right.
  19. After I wrote my post I was going to edit it to say this so fair comment. Hamels actually got stronger late in the game against us as we were chasing badly. So many wild swings on breaking balls. Part of that is good pitching but one of our hallmarks for big innings was taking BBs if they were there to keep the line moving. We do need to be more selective. OTOH no point falling behind in the count if I pitch is there to hit.
  20. That's too bad. Most people around me were solid this last couple games except one guy losing it at Beltre to "get off the field" when he was hurt. Classless. And one guy behind me yelling a couple times for our hurler to "put one right at his head" for stepping out. Lots of F bombs all around which isn't great with kids around. Other than that was good, and all the kids around us were having a good time and being well behaved.
  21. Nobody believes anything you say anymore. Won't you be partying in Las Vegas at the encore beach club?
  22. Swinging hard got them here. Our Big 5 were 3 for 27 in game 2 and that has to change for us to win. The players know this, and if they execute today like they can, we are going to game 4.
  23. I don't think so on pitch forks. I think the knuckleball is just too erratic, and we have seen that scary movie many times the last 3 seasons. , Most fans know Price/Stro not available to start so they will live with change up/FB Estrada and hope the LHH don't tee off with runners on base.
  24. If you say this 1000 times, some people will believe what they want to believe. Don Cherry went off again on HNIC with the conspiracy crap that MLB is against us cause the Jays are Canadian. The roof, the ump and the calls. Its all a conspiracy. Such BS. The Jays should just shut up ...play good D...mash that f-ing ball and win this game today.
  25. If we get to 4, Price. That's unless there is something up with his arm we don't know about. People can disagree but I still think there may more to the 11 days rest, and not giving him 4-5 IP in live game action in Tampa, than we know currently. If they choose RA we will know there is something up. If he close to 100%, I think you have to ignore the last 2 starts and look at his season and career body of work, over RA (as good as he has been 2nd half).
