    I just replayed it on PVR. It was 2-2 100%. Ya if it was a hit and run it was a weird call. If it was a straight steal it was worse.

    2 strikes and 2 out I think. It was such a bad pitch bouncing I don't think he could have offered and touched it. Any runner with any speed would have safe by a lot.

    Must have been a hit and run and it bounced so badly no 2 strike effort to hit it by Espy? A straight steal to Lourdes is dumb. He is slow as f***. That was a brutal out on the bases again.

    Fk. Miss a DP by a hair and they score. Of all the plaguing issues we have, that I didn't expect us to have, not being able to consistently hit LH pitching is the most perplexing.

    I've always felt the same way, like someone can unlock what looks like a pretty nice arsenal of stuff. He looks like a giant farmer who just took off his overalls and put on a ball uniform.

    Don't know about you guys but watching Vlad this season, and especially the last couple games, is so disappointing. You see the bat speed. But the pitch selection, the chase, the missing of cookies & being late on fastballs. So many swings that look so off balance. Flailing. When he comes up I have little faith he is going to deliver. He got a hit last night and has a 126 wRC+ but he rarely BBs lately. The Savante page still looks pretty good. How the hell are we going to get him going? We need an elite, not just well above average, Vlad in the 2nd half.

    This is a good discussion IMO happening here. Vlad we have seen has the type of talent to put up 190 wRC+ for 6 weeks. If he does that in the 2nd half our recency bias would probably be leaning more to GET THE CHECK BOOK OUT NOW. I hope he does because if he remains under 130 wRC+ we aren't going anywhere in 22.

    Bellinger. Yelich. That contract looks pretty bad now. Vlad has the kind of body type like Mo, Prince and Sandoval, who ballooned after his big deal with the Red Sox ( I remember the time his belt exploded after a swing lol) I'd love to see Vlad signed long term given the things he can do. I think they will saw off a deal that reflects his elite talent and the team risks. Or they could do the Rays thing and load up off of him.

    Ya. Have to agree hate to say. Vlads body type. Performance except 21. 1B/DH. I think he needs to work extremely hard to be south of 260. I'm far from an expert in them but Bo's D numbers are pretty bad. Honestly don't think he will be a SS long term even though he has improved and works hard. His pitch selection won't age well. He really is +1 hit -1 D Baez. DET already regrets that deal. Bo is almost 25. Still young but...SS is cruel to aging. I'd definitely sign a long term deal and take some risk but caution is warranted.

    Not sure what it adds. I flew I into Charlotte on the 12th and am here now on some business. Had to validate my vaxx status. Also your interpretation of "medical data" evidence you made is extremely provocative. I doubt either of us are qualified to analyze results of medical data. In terms of the so called massive advantage it hasn't had a material positive impact on our results vis a vis the Twins series and others. Also any advantage is mitigated in my mind by the fact we played all over buttf*** in 2021 and the FA and trade pool for us is reduced by this issue. There is speculation it's one of the reasons Ray didn't come back, for example. Other targets are off the list as well from the Royals etc. This vaxx status discussion always takes the Board down a rabbit hole. So I'd rather avoid it as much as possible.

Few if any saw: Berrios deal last deadline for 2 top prospects Berrios extension term/AAV Gausman signing term/AAV Kooch signing Springer signing Dozens OTB said Charlie wouldn't be fired this year - no chance My prediction at the deadline: Quintana like depth SP An impact LH bat A current position player regular will go in a deal 2 mid to top end pen arms will come over A prospect(s) many this Board will lose their mind over will go as a prospect Firing Charlie was either a big message they were going all in or its is a move that buys them some room for milquetoast deadline moves. We will know soon enough.

    Bo base running error then a throwing E on an easy play and cost us 2 runs. Should have been out of this inning clean. Sloppy.

    67th percentile sprint speed. Teo is 90. Chappy is over 70. Zimmer over 90. Tapia does nothing very well but take up at bats.

    Is Strip becoming the '22 version of Estrada 15/16? He gives up some contact but its kind of fun to watch him mix and locate. I think Eno Sarris has his change ranked as #1 in the AL?? Legit. How the f*** did Vlad hit THAT out like that? So Sr!!! Teo!!! The curse is lifting. The ball hit the fence and bounced the right way!! Schnider is a genius!
