  1. Eno Sarris did some recent analysis of Thor's stuff and it was not good at all, as in gotten worse. Beyond the V loss. I realize we would get him as a rental taking salary and giving a bucket of balls, but there is a good reason for that. I guess he would eat some innings but I don't see how it moves the needle.
  2. Meh. We're in a stocked up AL East. We don't want to just keep burning years. The perennial contender is fools gold in this Division. Bosox going through that now. Syndergaard's stuff blows now. I get you are only eating money. Iglesias is solid. Nobody expected 2 top prospects for Berrios last year. We'll see. Agree lots of time left.
  3. The Yanks got my wet dream scenario. Well what surprises are in store for us Ross?
  4. Interesting. I think the Jays still have a big need for a impact LHH. No disrespect to Biggio, and Tapia's heater. I think the numbers against LHP are a bit misleading. Clubs throw them at an historically low number against the Jays because they are so right handed dominant. We have struggled often a lot with even nameless RHP, who can come in and throw us endless pitches spun away. I know overall our offense has been top 5 but too often we get shut down because its such a repeatable look for the arms we face. I look at the Brave's last year milking the most out of Pederson and Rosario after the all star break and in the playoffs. They gave them a lot of effective balance. They got hot and Braves got lucky with them and Soler, but it sure made them tough to match up and pitch against down the stretch and on their run. The pen is the priority but this is still a big weakness IMO if we want to go on a deep run.
  5. It seems surreal that at least baseball people/fans were talking about a $300M plus deal for Bo after '21. He has value and I guess he is still a potentially elite offensive player, but I don't see him ever become more than average defensively, and I question whether he can improve his pitch selection/chase at the plate. They just arent going to throw him strikes when they don't need to as he gets himself out. Pillar, Grichuk, Baez...on and on never could adjust. I would not bet much Bo will ever be more than a 105 - 115 wRC+ for a season again. A wRC+ 142 over 212 PAs in 2019 will by far be his high water mark. Which is solid, but a TOR contract offer will be less than he wants, which is why he will be gone after '25 or traded before.
  6. Right now he is better than Bo. Red hot. He came on the scene as good or better than Bo wRC+ . League adjusts. Also not sure the impact of his injury. In any case I like Teo and Gurriel above him. Hopefully that changes and he moves back up.
  7. For sure it is. But I still want my best hitters getting the most PAs period. Over a long season that matters. It's just probabilities. Like shifts and almost everything in baseball that's done.
  8. He is pitching pretty well today but he gets clobbered still. Of all players throwing Baez 94 Center cut just shows the lack of command. I have little faith, especially against LHH.
  9. Yep. 118 career now. We have better options up in the order. The league has made a simple adjustment and he hasn't. Why throw him a strike when he will get himself out?
  10. I'm a Bo fan but he is so over rated offensively. He has great bat to ball skills but he will have limited upside unless he can improve his pitch selection. Which is unlikely. Drew Hutchinson K'ing you on a full count with 93 a foot up in a big spot is just a bad look, and it's been so typical of this season. He should be moved down.
  11. Night like tonight we could really use more left side impact. Ya. I know Tapia slapped a hit to LF on a pitch he tried to pull. But these RHP are carving up our RHH away and in.
  12. Manoah battling but he doesn't have much working tonight does he? Spitting on so many breaking balls. Just non competitive.
  13. Lol. Word. Cause Teo and Lourdes. They ain't there for the mitt.
  14. Wallscraper. Gurriel catch evens out Teos non catch. Nice job. Phew!!!
  15. Ya. Even Gurriel, who has been so disciplined lately, chased garbage low and way count full. Just before chappy homered. Boys need to string together some quality abs and zone it up.
  16. Another miscellaneous SP blows away Cavan with 94 up. Man some ugly at bats. Vlad chases another pitchers pitch and GB. Let's go Jays!!
  17. Tough play but Teo has to make that. He pulled off and took his head off it right as it got to him. Brutal.
  18. I'm still not seeing what Richard's has done with any consistency to earn that spot over Gausman against Pujols whose bat has slowed. Rather have Yimi in early for that big move with men on. Anyway. We only scored 1 run so it's all kind of moot.
  19. Me at some point. Posted on both for awhile. Sempai used to post on old Forum this new one would be sued for infringement on MLB lol. Mac DJBlueray who is now on this Board under another name. Spanky used to come in and attack troll the old Forum periodically in a blitzkrieg maneuver.
  20. Beasley. f*** off. You throw 97 and have a 7 run lead. Challenge in the zone.
  21. Thats exactly why we got George. Turning around 99 and sending it into the stratosphere. Now Kirk. Bueno boys.
  22. Why does Lourdes think he is fast? That was a just f***ing horrible out to give up with a runner on 3B. Chappy pickin' him up thank god.
  23. Ya, i think its expectations with his track record and acquisition cost/new contract. Also the SLC line up was depleted. We see the movement and stuff. And when he dominates its easy to see why. He has never been great but he has been consistently durable and good. Unlike this season. Teo. Atta boy.
  24. What is Pujols hitting vs RHP this year? Nothing. A LO BB. FFS. So frustrating.
  25. Thats a depressing list lol. Romano is down avg 1 MPH this year but seems to be ticking up lately. The other two....well. Yimy's V is up too.
