  1. It's kinda astounding that so many people bitch about the Blue Jays and how much of a s***** team and a lost cause the season is, but continue posting about everything remotely relating to the team day-in and day-out. I genuinely don't understand it. Right. I never said I hated this forum, I said it was cluttered with s***. I can post when, where and how often as I want, and I can just as easily take a break as I have done several times before. I post here because there are still several quality posters that do provide some quality discussion (granted, you have to wade through an ocean of turd to find it) and because despite all the incessant bitching, crying and flaming, it's a great source of rumors, prospect information and happenings around baseball.
  2. No this thread doesn't deserve a bump. Do something better with your time. As much as I f***ing despise CHP, if you have to bump a thread and s*** on him just for being positive, you're dropping to his level. I remember posting on this forum at the start of last season when it wasn't such a cesspool; the few trolls that were negative about every single thing (Metallijay, etc) were crucified by just about everyone in GDT's for constantly bringing everybody down. Less than a year later, nearly every poster on this board is as bad as those trolls. A Blue Jay takes a day off for hamstring tightness and it's the end of the f***ing season already. Almost everything CHP has said on this board has been absolute rubbish, but a post where he asks for people to keep their pessimistic s*** just out of one single thread, and manages to prove that most people here are incapable of doing even that, he's basically just shown that people are getting to be just about as pathetic and miserable as he is. If your aim was to bump a thread to prove "hah, I'm still miserable and negative as f*** about the upcoming season", well then.. congrats? I've seriously never seen another message board where it was so welcome to necro dead threads just to collectively s*** on people. Usually people are s***ing on the ones doing the bumping, here it seems to be a weekly tradition.
  3. I was about to thank this post till I saw the words below the picture.
  4. I knew that they would fix the final if Sogard made it, and I knew it would be some 51-49 ******** too. There's no way Jeter loses to that f***ing coconut and Sogard after that showing somehow legitimately loses to Wright.
  5. Still believe in Drabek.
  6. Jose Bautista is f***ing embarrassing right now.
  7. Where did I make that claim? It wouldn't be hard for you to find it, since all of my posts on the subject were all made on this page. The only claim I made was that Pujols' statistics have steadily declined for the past six seasons, all across the board; an irrefutable fact. Aside from that, I simply asked what the belief in Pujols' bouncing back is based on. When all of his numbers tell one story, I'd like to know what makes someone think he can come back and be worth his contract, other than "he used 2 b gud".
  8. I know you like to comment at me a lot, and I wonder if you've noticed that I rarely ever respond to you, but if you haven't, here I am pointing it out. I find most of the posts you make towards me scarce of any substance, and don't usually feel it worth my time to come up with a response, but since you seem to always go to the trouble, I thought I'd try to get the point across. I mean I could just flat-out tell you how much of a moron you often come off as, the above post being a prime example of that, where you tell me I disagree based on "nothing but my intuition", when I repetitively stated that my opinion is actually based on a very clear six-year statistical decline, but that would just embarrass you, and neither of us wants that. I don't know what I did to get all that sand in your panties, but whatever it was, get a clue and "let it go". Of course there's the good chance that you'll take the "I don't care" route, so if in the future you feel that you need to comment at me for some sort of high school peer-approval satisfaction, then you go right ahead, as that is your prerogative. There's just a good chance that you'll probably be wasting your time.
  9. Has his wheel been losing air for the past six years? Where along the point of his decline, which spans a half-decade now, did his wheel lose its air? On his 37th birthday?
  10. Slavery had been around for millennia, why did it suddenly become an issue? Millions of people died to it, but it remained, why get rid of it now?
  11. ...based on what? The Pujols contract is very likely to be the worst free agent contract ever signed.
  12. Only douchebags say "guesstimate".
  13. A forum where moderators encourage post-padding http://replygif.net/i/926.gif

  15. This. Agreed completely.
  16. To be honest, I didn't realize how many of the Jays' injuries were freak accidents until reading that Stark article. I don't count Lawrie or Bautista's injuries among those, since Lawrie is a careless savage and Bautista is an old man, but the rest; Reyes, Morrow, Happ and Melky, there's practically 0 chance of any of those specific injuries repeating.
  17. Apparently, multi-quoting is no longer a thing.
  18. Has this been posted yet? When the Cubs introduced their new mascot a few weeks ago, CSN Chicago did a small news piece on it on their Comcast television broadcast. Here's how it went: http://deadspin.com/comcast-sportsnet-airs-our-version-of-cubs-mascot-with-1501633812 Other pieces of news on the topic: http://sports.yahoo.com/blogs/mlb-big-league-stew/sports-channel-mistakenly-airs-x-rated-version-cubs-063421851--mlb.html http://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/clark-the-cub-pantsgate-us-tv-channel-accidentally-introduces-chicago-baseball-teams-new-mascot-using-xrated-spoof-image-9061657.html I make this post partially because it's hilarious and more eyes need to see it, and partially because everything seems to be deemed threadworthy on these forums during the offseason.
  19. I think it's a lot easier to give him 100M if you're going to play him as a starter. My curiosity is based on if anyone thinks they could actually give a 100M contract to a reliever, even if he is as excellent and elite as Chapman. I honestly don't know if I could, but I don't know if I wouldn't either.
  20. This makes me wonder, if you guys knew what Chapman would become, and knew exactly how much he'd produce, would you give him a $100M contract? Disregard the fact that it would never need to take that much, just wondering what people think he's worth. This is also assuming he primarily be used the same way he has in actuality, as a reliever.
  21. Between Bautista and Reyes, is that Pharrell Williams? Is Moises Sierra, Pharrell Williams?
