  1. Why would the Jays want Cory Rasmus or Scott Downs?
  2. Why Starlin is my ideal buy low. BB rate down, K rate way up. On a terrible team who is already selling with a decent long term contract (paid like a 1.0-2.0 WAR player through 2019). Seems like a prime candidate for regression and the Cubs appear motivated to move him. Make it happen AA.
  3. Of course we were he was playing like s*** haha
  4. Where was he on the FG trade value lists? Somewhere around 30?
  5. Too many teams and too many pieces for that deal to actually happen. As others have said the value is quite a ways off as well. If somehow a 3 team deal could be worked out perhaps the Jays could move Bautista + Gose + Cecil for Taillon + Peavy + filler which makes some sense. Jose could be a chance to sell high and should be explored but, I'd be hard pressed to move Gose while his value is so low.
  6. From baseball America. Repeating the DSL but still just 18.
  7. He has front end SP potential. Very little risk to be a MLB'er. IMO he's a top 100 prospect in the 50-100 range. That being said his most likely landing spot is in a high leverage relief role so it might be the right time to sell. If you think he's a legitimate front-end guy you don't make this deal.
  8. What would you guys think of a move like; Aramis Ramirez + Jonathan Lucroy for AJ Jimenez + Marcus Stroman + Kevin Pillar + Dawel Lugo Too little or too much?
  9. Lucroy would be my prime target if the big name FA's aren't an option.
  10. Gotta like the guy as a middle relief option though. Solid innings all year from him.
  11. Being moved from the rotation to the bullpen is the definition of failing as a starter. He was also a mediocre 22yo starter (old for the level) in Lansing before he was moved to the BP full time.
  12. He was drafted as a starter out of college. Way to jump to conclusions though. http://www.thebaseballcube.com/mobile/?T=Player&ID=23834
  13. Carlos Ruiz and McCann are the big names. I think it's mostly the typical veterans after those two.
  14. Virtually no chance but, I'm also shocked they haven't resigned him yet. If he gets to FA AA needs to be all up in his grill until he signs on the dotted line.
  15. McCann is 29, not exactly old. Peavy is on a 1 year deal (with an option that only vests if he plays well). Not exactly committing yourself to a bunch of grey hairs. I understand why you wouldn't want the Jays taking a bunch of long term deals though. Rasmus really wouldn't be fighting for a spot, Melky probably either. It was more just to throw out the names of theoretical fielders to see them on paper. Sometimes I make a fantasy trade and then go wait a minute Gose, Melky, Rasmus would be a terrible OF (which it would haha).
  16. No chance Darvish is moved. You have to remember the Rangers are looking to contend, not retool.
  17. .300 wOBA as a 20yo is pretty good...
  18. Best position is SS
  19. Lock up McCann, trade for Peavy call it an off-season. Gose/Pillar/Davis/Melky/Rasmus fight for the final OF spots.
  20. I think he comps well to Nolin at this point. Low 90's LHP with underwhelming secondaries and decent control...
  21. Miggy 'Fredo or this years class is a bust IMO
  22. Good arm and glove, I thought his range was around average but, I'm clearly mistaken.
  23. I was shocked to see how terribly DRS rated Reyes' D. One of those ones where the stats don't match your eyes.
  24. Ah gotcha. Pretty interesting stuff. for my reference did you use the preseason projections or the updated ZIPs/Steamer?
