  1. If Bautista is going to Texas the target has to be Profar. Maybe there is a package of other talent, even a three team trade, out there.
  2. I hate the idea of rebuilding. Trying to come up with a Robbie Alomar - McGriff type deal that helps the team win now. Harder than it looks though! haha
  3. Ya, I'm going to have to admit on that one I may have screwed the pooch. I thought Perez was having a good year and remembered him being a decent prospect. I don't really think Andrus + a fringe 5 is fair value for Jose.
  4. I can see him growing in to a little more power but that's about it. I agree that he's probably a finished product. With his athleticism and base-running ability he should have a fairly long peak. Perhaps I over-valued Perez. TBH I didn't look at his stats before hand, I thought he was having a much better year. What would be your take on something like Ogando + Andrus + Alfaro for Bautista. Is that closer to a win for T.O?
  5. It really depends on how Jose ages. Elvis Andrus is also only 25 and could theoretical still get better.
  6. Bautista for Andrus and Martin Perez would be a great trade. Not sure if Jose still has that kind of value though.
  7. Those are the tweets that makes Twitter great. Thanks for posting.
  8. I;d rather target Alexei Ramirez. Andrus is a great player, better than Alexei but, he's going to cost a ton to land. I don't know if AA even has the pieces to get it done.
  9. Don't know much about Cingrani. I liked him at the time of his draft and the peripherals look good. Seems like he could be a decent mid-rotation LHP.
  10. I'm intrigued. No idea what it would cost but exactly the kind of player AA should be looking at.
  11. Hutchison but, he'd have to be healthy and performing to be shopped.
  12. You bumped it this morning so I was like wtf are people still posting there? Now I get it haha
  13. I guess the appeal is that he should have ~5 more good seasons in him. He will definitely decline but, even at 35 I could see a 4-5 WAR season out of Robby. It obviously depends on the contract but, giving away Mark Buehrle and using that money in free agency has to be appealing even if Cano wouldn't be your target.
  14. With Edwin, Jose and Reyes and a competitive offer he certainly might.
  15. I;d move Buehrle's contract for free. Use that money to go hard after Cano in UFA.
  16. Not that kind of ninja I really don't see any way BAL moves Bundy in the division unless Jose or Edwin are going the other way.
  17. I'd move anyone for the right price, Edwin included. If the Pirates offered Polanco + Taillon + Hanson for Edwin it would be hard not to take it. If the Rangers offered Profar + Perez for Bautista AA would have to consider it. The goal should be put the organization in a better overall position, who cares what the names are if it's a good move.
  18. Gabryszwski should be in Lansing next season as well. He's having a great year too; 50IP, 1.98ERA, 27SO, 6BB, 4.5SO/BB, .920WHIP.
  19. Trade deadline is in 2 days... Getting close to now or never.
  20. Which hard throwing piss poor command reliever do you want to drop for him? It's not that he doesn't have potential it's that the Jays already have a bunch of guys like him.
  21. The Tigers could see themselves as more committed to this season and still not a true contender. They might not overpay for one of the Jays' players but, their only movable asset of significant value is Castellanos. Perhaps the Tigers go all in and ship out Castellanos in a package for a piece or two that puts them over the top. The Braves still have a ton of guys on the DL and could be looking to buy. I suspect they'll stand pat until the off-season at this point. There are other teams out there looking to respond to these moves, like CLE, OAK and TEX, though. In the NL there are 4-6 potential buyers as well.
  22. I'll take the 40-man roster spot over Cory Rasmus. He just isn't as good as some of the guys that would get bumped for him.
  23. It's good that contenders are starting to move on second tier guys. There are still lots of potential buyers out there. Hopefully, a team gets desperate after the options have thinned and overpays for Janssen/Cecil/Oliver/Rogers
  24. The only thing I'd add is that even though he doesn't have "good" stuff but, he isn't a soft tosser either. Gets it over 90mph regularly with a projectable 6'4", 204lbs frame, decent looking off-speed stuff as well. I don't think any of his pitches project as plus but, he could have 3 average pitches from the left side. Could have a decent career as a #3 if he continues to grow his game.
