  1. I forget where I said this, but I said AA is going to panic and do something completely stupid. The stars are aligning. Goodbye Sanchez.
  2. It has probably already been discussed but when do we have to have our rosters cut down to size?
  3. Its like the MLBs halfway house for steroid users lol
  4. I think him and Melky would get along great together lol.
  5. I don't know how much his defense is going to improve but I am with you in terms of his bat being a lot better than last season. I am thinking that I would like to see Melky at DH and drop Lind. I can't see Lind coming back and this way we can add another bat to the outfield. I would not be opposed to taking a look at Nelson Cruz could be had for a decent price.
  6. I would ask Longo
  7. I know that a lot of people on the boards don't like the fact that we don't give contracts out over 5 years. However look at those names you listed and everyone wanted Toronto in on them with the exception of Arod and now they looks like death traps. That is the one thing I will give Blue Jays Management credit for.
  8. It is probably because they are left on the old board.
  9. Ya but is he really allowed out of the broom closet unsupervised???
  10. I am sure he knows that there are hitters like the ones you mentioned that are not going to be spray guys. However Lawrie is at his best when he is going foul pole to foul pole, as is Melky, as is Lind. I don't like the fact that they fired Mottola but this guy looks like he could fill in nicely now that we severed the last piece of Pull cancer out of our system I hope.
  11. Wow Martinez and Cecchini are some good gets not to mention are not that far away from contributing on their clubs.
  12. Trading away the rest of the useful pieces left in our farm for mediocrity kind of stupid.
  13. My thoughts exactly. AA is going to likely go into panic mode now that he has depleted our farm and was no closer to making the playoffs. I think he knows if he does not do something big this season his job is defiantly going to be reviewed. However in my head I don't like the thoughts of a scared AA because I am fully expecting something stupid this offseason.

At least the Maple Leafs can score more than one goal per night. Something Jets fans can only dream of.
  15. You could tell just by this year that he has already started his regression. If I am paying a guy over 200m dollars then I expect more than what he did this year. I would say 2 years this deal is going to look horrific.
  16. Ya tight games absolutely suck where are all the high scoring blow outs to really get fans into it. I have loved the ALCS and NLCS so far. Very entertaining baseball.
  17. Wierd usually comes straight to my phone..... I will double check and get back to you tomorrow. Chance it just got mixed up with other emails.
  18. I am hoping that Assdribble has a come back year and ups his trade value. I am assuming that Lindor will be up for me sometime next season which ironically will take the place of cabrara of the indians. Sonny was the one that i really wanted i think he will get you lots of K's and be a serviceable #2. Rasmus is the reason why it took me so long to pull the trigger on this, hard to see what your going to get for him, hoping he has turn the corner i am still not sure. Crick is a wild card. If he can get control of the walks that he giving up then he could have a pretty high ceiling #2 type guy.
  19. Aren't you glad that we have one of those top 5 catchers on are ball club. We should be able to ship him off for a boat load.
  20. I would doubt we see Reyes being traded. AA is going to have to try and fix what he started. If he blows up the team he basically tells everyone that he f***ed (although most people know) up and he looses his job. He is likely to throw more money at the problem and try to fix what he broke and hope to god they make the playoffs which if he doesn't would likely be his last season. Just the way I see it although I may be wrong.

  22. I think Hutch is going to be knocking on the door during ST I honestly believe he is going to be a #3 type starter for a contending team. Depends on what the team wants to do. Is K numbers are still up and BB are not. I think it is just a matter of him finding his touch like he was just before he got hurt. However you are right. I can see Johnson coming back and Morrow will likely get a automatic spot. Its going to be interesting. I can see AA maybe trying to deal Buerhle but it is hard to say when MB was more or less our best pitcher last season.
  23. I am torn I am a huge Morrow fan I love what this guy has. You can't deny that this guy is injury prone. I think you spot Morrow in as a 4-5 guy so that you are not relying on him at the top of the rotation then trade Janssen/Santos (if the price is right) and you got guys like Cecil and McGowan as backend bullpen guys. We are very deep at bullpen right now why would you not deal one of the big boys. SHOULD HAVE LIKELY BEEN DONE AT THE DEADLINE.
  24. I really think it is easy to say that you wouldn't knowing there is a 98% chance that you would never have to make that decision. Put that decision in front of you when you know that there was no real drug testing back then. I think some people would feel differently. I can't honestly say I would turn steroids down in the mid to late 90s.
