Actually No. I am basically saying that Borders was a good Defensive catcher an that was why he was the catcher for those 2 world series. Said nothing about JPA. I would take a solid Defensive catcher any day over a power hitter with no discipline and sub par defensive skills.

I hope you are right because I think it will suck for the game if we have 2-3 umpire pow wows a game.

Romero for Kendrick lol. I don't know if I want the 2nd base version of JPA or not. LAA need pitching though

If we go that route how is it going to work. Does the crew chief wait after every close play until a play is confirmed. I think that is still going to eat up a bit of time if you think about how many bang bang plays there are during a game. I am in agreement that something has to be done, however the last thing I want to see is a 2hr ball game extended to 2.5-3 hours with replays. The less time Pat and Buck have to talk the better.

There should be a limit on how many reviews though. Lets say the jays have a rally going and have a pitcher on the ropes then a replay on whether it was fair or foul happens and gives the pitcher a chance to catch his breath and compose himself a bit. I like the idea of getting the calls right its just I don't want it to slow down the game. Its going to be interesting to see how they go about this.

If there is no risk to make it worse then I can't see them putting him on the DL. I think you will see him DH more which I like and have Lind and first and have Edwin play a possible outfield. He played a wee bit last year. Hard to say though. -
Actually Pat Borders was a very solid defensive catcher. That is how you have a 17 year career when you have a below average bat.

We need the first game. If we win the first game I think we win the series with a chance to sweep on Sunday. If we don't win the first game there is a good chance that we loose the series. Hard to say now with the bats coming alive the past week though.
