  1. I think it is a deal that they would consider. The only thing being that I don't know if I would want to loose a reliable guy like MB with the state of our rotation right now. You don't know what your going to get from Hutch, Drabek, Morrow (injury wise), J.J (if we do bring him back) and so on. Pitching is not something that I would want to deal away.
  2. I like him a lot as well I just don't see him being cheap coming from the Cards. I don't want to sell off people like Stroman or Sanchez for him and I got a feeling if AA is dealing for him he is going to give them up. Just look at what they gave up for Dickie. If they will bite on a deal surrounding Gose then I would say great, but I can't see it.
  3. I would like to say it was intentional but it wasn't. Sammy f***ed up. But it works the same way lol.
  4. He is not incompetent. If he was then he would have never build the farm up to where it was a year ago. He is an excellent rebuilding GM. The place where he has issues is making the transition to rebuilding to contending. He did not take a very good approach into last season. He had such a deep farm and in one fail swoop it was gone and that is not how you build a perennial contender. This offseason is going to be a tell tail sign for him and as some think it will be a make or break year for him. I don't want him to go all in like he did last season but I do fore see a lot of moves being made. Going to be an interesting off season.
  5. That seems low for me but knowing the cards they take that and turn Davis into the next Tori Hunter or some s*** like that lol.
  6. Just out of curiosity what do you think it would take? I mean a young (ish) pitcher who has been solid and durable I am sure the Cards would not just want to give him away.
  7. Good thing our pitchers could field because they sure did have a lot of balls coming back at them.
  8. You say that but if you are negotiating why would you not start over value. You have no bargaining power if you start with exactly what you want.
  9. I am hoping it is not true either, but I can't help but see this is where it is headed and I am personally a little frightened.
  10. I fully expect AA to go into full on panic mode. Which is trade Sanchez for an overpriced POS. I am not excited about the future of the club but I am a little excited to see what kind of s*** AA works himself into. I think AA knows this and most fans know this. If he does not make the playoffs next year I think it is bye bye time for the fat greek.
  11. I don't mind the idea of trading him. He is on a very friendly contract for what you get and he is going to be in the early stages of a decline. I would want a top end you MLB pitcher plus a TDA and Synder. Even then I am still thinking more could be added lol.
  12. Maybe this is just my naïve way of thinking, but I don't think it really matters who was the manager of the Sox they would have made the playoffs. It did not matter who the manager of the jays was they would have been right around where they finished this season (maybe 1-2 wins either way). I am a believer that a manager does not have a huge impact on the game. The way I see it as long as he is good at managing the bullpen they players will ultimately decide the outcome of a season/series. If you ask me today who I would have taken after this season (JF or Esmil Rogers). Defiantly Rogers.
  13. Really the only thing I am looking forward too this off season however I fully expect AA to f*** that up too.
  14. Hard to say I don't know how much of a defensive liability he would be back there. It will be interesting that is for sure.
  15. I am almost positive he has not played one inning this season as a catcher
  16. Cards will with the first 2 for sure..... I would say cards in 5
  17. Not to mention pitching, throwing and catching.
  18. Might as well bring Doc back if nothing else it will appease the casuals lol.
  19. Fixed that for you lol
  20. Dickie I would bet will be around the same as last season. Morrow is hard to say, with all of his injury problems I would not want to put to much stock on him being around for the whole year until he proves he can stay healthy.
  21. That's awesome man that does make thinks a lot easier.
  22. The way last season went goodbye Sanchez f***. But I do agree that I would go the free agent route for a catcher and then maybe try and deal for Kendrick or someone else. I don't see anyone in the Free agent market that really turns my crank except Cano.
  23. Romero?? I guess they did take Wells off our hands and Romeros contract is way lower lol.
  24. It does but I can't see the Angels selling Kendrick for just bullpen pieces. I would see them wanting a little more value for him. They may want a prospect back in return and who would we have in the farm that is not over paying that they would want.
  25. I agree. The guy is an on base machine and a HUGE upgrade defensivly. We don't need a guy that can knock out 20 HRs. We have those guys (Lawrie, Bau, EE. Rasmus, Lind). Give me a guy that can get on base at the bottom of the order. We had none of that last year. We had K's and lots of them. I would welcome Iannetta with open arms.
