Melky in his f***ed up back season was THE worst. -
Except that Thames lacked an above average skill to compensate for the value he gave away in other areas. Bautista may be hard to watch but his positive contributions are very significant.

Still has that arm... That's why he's not necessarily better off at 1B. Would take away the one thing he does well defensively. I think it's pretty much OF or DH.

Yeah basically. If you slide too early, you slow yourself down considerably. That's why it's not really worth trying but it's not impossible to make it work.

I think there was a study that showed that you can actually get to 1st faster with a slide but you have to time it absolutely perfectly.

Seriously, f*** Halladay. Guy asks for a trade out of town and practically walks on water with the fans. No one else gets that kind of pass from Toronto fans. f*** that guy. Bottom of my list. -
It would be a crying shame if people didn't tune in for the Mets. That's a VERY interesting team.

It must be somewhat delicate for those guys to have to call off players with far greater seniority like Tulo or Bautista. I think that might play into it.
