  1. I see absolutely no reason for this hope. We know what Gibbons was like last year and whatever input he seems to have had on this season's roster decisions seems pretty negative. Don't want to go all Glory here but the guy sucks. I don't know why he still has so many defenders to be honest.
  2. For me it depends on how close Loup is to coming back. If he's close than Tepera over Venditte is pretty inconsequential. There's a bean counter argument to be made for Storen over Osuna at closer but the politics of it are delicate. I can understand not wanting to disrupt the apple cart. It's not what I prefer. I would have really liked for Osuna to get more multi-inning work and build arm strength and I thought the Storen acquisition would open the door for that. I assume were going to see more of the very strict bullpen usage we saw last year. If we're winning, Cecil gets the 7th, Storen the 8th, Osuna the 9th regardless of matchups. Tepera, Leon and Biagini will be the guys that are pretty much used exclusively in losses. Chavez will be the wild card. Gibbons sucks.
  3. Not sure. Plan might be to try to sneak Leon at that point.
  4. Oh and I forgot to even mention Pillar hitting leadoff.
  5. The first is groos but the other is downright egregious. Does this mean that there are people making decisions that actually believe this Tepera as "second lefty" garbage? That's f***in scary. Seems like all these decisions were essentially dictated by seniority. Osuna was the incumbent closer so he's closer again. Tepera acted as the second lefty in the playoffs so he's back in that role. Zeke was here last year so he's back again. It seems like the more time passes, the more this team functions as if Cito Gaston was still at the helm.
  6. HOLY f***! How the bullpen is set up in the opening 25 isn't critically important or anything but yuck.
  7. I would guess reliever. Starter is a lot to ask from these kind of reclamation projects (see Sergio Santos).
  8. Just post Goins head on his body.
  9. Might as well post it there too. The 4th OF race in a nutshell: http://www1.gnb.ca/0003/images/4of.png

  11. Well, sort of, but given that Osuna is the only one of the late inning relievers under control for 2017, it's not too surprising.
  12. So basically the role Hendriks would have had if used properly.
  13. I guess they figured he would have an easier time clearing waivers than Delabar or Jimenez (this has it's own thread, btw).
  14. Both players will bust. Nothing to see here.
  15. Can't we let go of this Jackie Redmond thing already? It's getting tedious. She has a vagina. We know already.
  16. That close-up of his face when he says: "No. You can't swing.". Priceless.
  17. Barney's 2012 and 2013 are two of the best defensive seasons on record from a 2B. When Kawasaki does something like that, get back to me.
  18. Can you regress if you don't even play?
  19. Positive example: Tulo versus 2015 season
  20. Burns only projects as a slightly better bat (and still pretty bad) and Barney's defense is elite.
  21. It was after Montreal though there was a lot of questions about why he was even playing in that series since he wasn't fully back. Went down in the fist official PA of the season. Most Reyes thing ever.
  22. Reverse splits and luck.
  23. Yeah, might actually make Boyd look good.
