    What kind of projected value are we talking about with 2017 Dickey? He's already a guy who needed 214 innings to scrap his way to 2 wins last year. You're essentially advocating dedicating two roster spots in 2017 for what? A 1.0 to 1.5 win garbage tosser? f*** this s***. Enough already.

    I always prefer to give up on a guy too soon than too late. I already feel like we're pushing it in 2016. You add the difficulties he creates for catchers and it would be kind of nice to just move on.

    Dickey's going to hit a wall sooner rather than later. Throwing a knuckleball isn't the fountain of youth. It made sense to use the option this year for cost security and whatever but next year when things are wide open, it would be nice to explore other options.

    Well maybe I'm just using the wrong terminology. Physically, he profiles as a guy who should be a good OF but he isn't and the problem seems to be between the ears.

    I don't believe this. Carrera has all the tools to be a MLB 4th OF which makes it all the more frustrating that his utter lack of baseball instincts hold him back but you have to figure his instincts will improve over time not get worse. Maybe he needs ADHD meds or something.

    Picking up Will Venable off the trash heap would have been preferable to rostering 'Zeke.

    Smoak = Smoak Barney = Goins (not a popular opining but I really think they're basically the same guy) I don't really like Navarro but it's not hard to be better than Thole and Pompey is obviously a lot better than Zeke.

    I think he's probably a decent loogy but I had my doubts that he would be used properly if included on the roster. The switch pitching thing is such a cool novelty that you can easily imagine it seducing a manager into giving him too much non-loogy work. Ultimately, the loogy job is Loup's anyways.

    Not in this league. Not sure what his priority was but it wasn't #1. I had #1 and still do. Speaking of waiver claims... Word is Andrew Bailey starts the season in the minors.
