He's a 4th OF at absolute worst. Great D, good OBP, and great speed doesn't end up worse than that. I honestly think he's ready to start right now, and if the power creeps back up to that .400 SLG range he's a very good starter in the MLs.
Am I right in my thinking that the best thing to hope for is the second wildcard (I'm assuming one of Angels/Athletics get the first)? And am I right in thinking that our main competition for that second wildcard is the Mariners (I'm assuming the Yankees can't keep up with no Tanaka/Sabathia)?
What a dummy. Jays are a team fighting for a wildcard, have had trouble scoring runs, and we're talking about the middle of a close game. Colby should have cussed him out for even acting like he was offended.
Right now it's Stroman, and it's not even close. The fact Stroman can consistently throw strikes is one thing. But the fact he's doing it in the Majors is even better.
Alford has ZERO future in football, so the moment he realizes it's baseball or bust, he'll become an interesting piece. I know he loves football, but he can be a star on the diamond...
