  1. Someone has to make a GIF of that super happy black jays fan laughing in all those sad reds faces...
  2. 2 dingers is a bit surprising, pretty sure they are the first two homers he's given up on the year... but yea those K/BB numbers are sexy as hell.
  3. The six balls K. f***ing joke of an ump! f***ing BS...
  4. Can he swing a bat? But yes, I forgot about the injury.
  5. We better pinch hit for Navarro here, he's been a disaster all game in every facet.
  6. Yup! I'm struggling to remember the other guys name... ETA Banuelos.
  7. He was a top prospect a few years back, a yankees buddy of mine was raving about him a few years ago.
  8. Meh, no point blowing out Stromans arm for this shitshow.
  9. He would have had a SB if Reyes didn't swing at that breaking ball.
  10. He was hoping to catch a first pitch fastball, and he did, but broke his bat.
  11. Ump is now not giving Stro the outside corner he was getting before. Just be consistent FFS!
  12. Tanaka getting that low pitch, Stro getting that outside pitch.
  13. Don't see how some can't get this, but exactly. As for the Kendall comp, that definitely works. Won't win any gold gloves, won't hit for much power, but will give you a nice average and OBP while being solid behind the dish and bringing above average athleticism on the bases. That's what we're hoping for. But the point I was trying to make was that his value is heavily tied to his ability to hit. If he struggles to hit ML pitching, he's not going to be bringing anything special to the table.
  14. Are we talking the Cubs and Shark specifically? Perhaps. But then I'd look to other options. Let them pick one of Sanchez/Norris, and then let them pick any 3 prospect names (roster, Pompey, and 2014 draftees not included). If that's not enough, you move on.
  15. No way do I give up both Sanchez and Norris. Let them pick one, plus Nolin, and DJ Davis. I think that package should be able to get us a good quality starter.
  16. I'm not saying he's going to win batting titles, or needs to to be worth that pick, but he is a guy who's value is going to be heavily weighted by his batting average (it's the tool that has the best chance to be plus or plus-plus)...
  17. I really think the reported debate came down to Pentecost and Turner at #11. I liked Turner and think he could be the 2014 version "of guy the Jays regret they passed on". I do hope I'm wrong and Pentecost becomes Joe Mauer.
