Don't see how some can't get this, but exactly.
As for the Kendall comp, that definitely works. Won't win any gold gloves, won't hit for much power, but will give you a nice average and OBP while being solid behind the dish and bringing above average athleticism on the bases. That's what we're hoping for.
But the point I was trying to make was that his value is heavily tied to his ability to hit. If he struggles to hit ML pitching, he's not going to be bringing anything special to the table.
