  1. Just got back from the game, was excellent. Hutch dominated, and seeing Bautista go yard is always awesome.
  2. No walks and no power definitely is concerning.
  3. We need Lawrie back to inject life into this team. Here's to hoping he's back for Tuesday...
  4. Oh f*** off, the team is obviously disappointed as a group, and this happens.
  5. There was a Jays fan right there who shoulda snagged it.
  6. ^Got my tickets for Wednesday! They're also cheap cuz it's a mid-week series...
  7. He's always been a "sees alot of pitches" patient approach guy. I remember making a post about this a few years back on the old board, I don't have the stats to back it up (hard to find these things in regards to pitch results in the minors and would require alot of work), but through my observations, the guys who see alot of pitches in the minors tend to have a spike in their OBP once they reach the Majors. Minor league pitchers tend to just try and throw strikes, while MLB pitchers tend to have alot more weapons, and more changeups/breaking balls in their arsenals that land outside of the strikezone. Gose is proving me right, at least in regards to him, and boy once he gets on he has a great habit of coming around to score....
  8. Gose is great at seeing pitches and drawing walks. He's really developed well in that regard, he might never hit above .260, but he can be a real weapon offensively (in addition to his D) if he keeps that OBP above .340
  9. f*** them as a team, a city, and as a motherf***ing crew! If you down with Boston then f*** you too!
  10. Gose baby. There's no way this guy isn't a regular for next year (if he isn't already).
  11. I swear Goins great D has got Reyes to step up his game.
  12. Cool yea, it's the square QR code that shows up in the ticketmaster app. Going to the O's game next wednesday, highly recommend you guys checking out tickets- they're of the cheaper non yankee, red sox, weekend variety, and obviously it's a big series for the division... Still a bunch good seats left.
  13. Thanks, was able to open this (though it was one of the square codes) in the ticketmaster app. Much appreciated!
  14. Figured I would make an all-encompassing ticket thread where I could ask a question. So I just purchased a couple of tickets online, I opted for the eticket option since it is free (rather than have them mailed to me via snail mail), and in the past I usually just print the tickets, but my printer has died on me. Through some research it's come to my attention that I can simply show something on my phone to get in. I downloaded the ticketmaster app, but not really sure how to use it, and can't really find definitive answers by simply googling. Has anyone used this before? I just want to make sure I don't have any issues getting into the stadium.
  15. Doesn;t matter, they have a monopoly anyway.
  16. He has made an adjustment to his swing: "I felt like I was having good at-bats, but I made little adjustments on my swing with my approach. It kind of slowed the game down, made 95 seem a little slower," the right-handed hitter said. "I did a little different stance, turned my shoulder towards the plate more [and] I focused on going the other way a little bit." http://www.milb.com/news/article.jsp?ymd=20140724&content_id=86018404&fext=.jsp&vkey=news_milb We'll see, but I do think he has the potential to hit for a decent average, as well he does seem to have a good approach and should have a good walk rate and OBP. Combine that with his near 80 speed on the scouting scale and plus glove at a premium position, and I think he has a chance to be an all-star. I'm a fan of the glove/speed/OBP combo. Even if he never hits for average, he'll be a dangerous 9 hole hitter, while if the bat comes around he has definite all-star potential. Pentecost I like, but his lack of power is concerning, and his D is still very much a work in progress (particularly controlling the running game). He should hit for average though, but overall, I just feel like Turner brings more upside to the table. Pentecost to me is a one tool guy, and that tool is the toughest to project.
  17. Turners been my guy since well before the draft.
  18. Why? Just looked up his numbers and Turner happens to be in A ball already and is raking with a bunch of steals...
  19. Still say we should have opted for Trea Turner over Pentecost, but I'm happy.
  20. Well considering we currently have 2 other ShortStops starting in our infield, I think pride is the only thing preventing that from happening.

I was talking about the Leafs.

That roster sucks, particularly on D, Leafs should be tearing the roster apart and tanking. the 2015 NHL draft is going to be epic, and has the two best prospects hockey has seen since Crosby. Habs are looking good, and should be for a long time- assuming Subban can get locked up. Jiri Sekac is going to be an absolute beast for us, can't wait to watch him play for real.
