  1. I was another Goins supporter. With a lineup like ours we can live with the bat thanks to that glove. Plus his K/BB rate has improved dramatically.
  2. The one point to make though, is that he doesn't seem that comfortable being the first hitter of the game. Most guys like to see a pitcher throw a few pitches to get a read on him, Tulo appears to be one of those guys. And as the first batter of the game, his numbers are terrible. In 11 ABs, he's got 0 hits and just 1 walk for a triple slash line of .000/.182/.000. It's basically a total waste. At the moment though, it's not like we have a better option. When Travis comes back however, and after a few games of getting back into it, I'd like to see the top 5 look like: 1. Travis 2. Tulowitzki 3. Bautista 4. Donaldson 5. Encarnacion
  3. He might be a lil fatigued, after his huge debut, he's struggled at the plate a lil bit.
  4. Obviously a rotation is cyclical, so it looks like it'll be Beurhle to Dickey to Price to Estrada to Hutch Come playoff time, if Stro is somehow ready, I'd like to see Price, Stroman, Buehrle, Dickey
  5. This doesn't explain why he kept Cola over Val though. I do agree Revere should probably be the everyday LFer. Way better glove than any other option, decent career splits, as well with our slow as f*** turf for grounders, Revere could very well slap hit himself to a .300+ average.
  6. One of Cola or Velencia were gonzo, but am surprised it was Valencia who was DFA'd. Heck we probably could have got a prospect back if we dealt him to a team needing a righty bat.
  7. It might be a little awkward in the room, but at bats are individual events. Defensively, the middle infield might struggle to turn a double play or two, since neither Goins nor Travis have had much practice with Tulo (and as someone who played the MI, there is definitely a timing thing that happens during double plays, and a chemistry does need to be built.)
  8. Pretty terrible if you ask me. I think at the least, Revere starts against rightys, and is a late inning defensive replacement and pinch runner
  9. I think hes gonna cost more than alot of you think. Hoping we didn't deal Alford for him.
  10. My GF works at a high end jewellery store, and she just told me that Troy Tulowitski just bought a watch there and had it engraved for Justin Smoak for giving #14 to David Price. Pretty cool I thought.
  11. If EE and Travis were playing I'd agree with you.
  12. I think we got Saturday in the bag, MB aint gonna play. Friday I think we lose, Cueto beats Hutch. Tonight is kinda 50/50 I think. Sunday comes down to whether Price starts. If Price starts, we gotta be favourites, particularly if EE or Travis are back. If we roll out some AAAA guy or something, we're toast.
  13. I was more referring to him hitting 4th with EE out.
  14. I just suffered the same injury looking at our roster.
  15. whats the problem, Collabello has earned it.
  16. Price better pitch Sunday, I just bought $300+ worth of tickets lol
  17. Price is gonna start sunday for sure, ya?
  18. Just bought 5 tix for Sunday!
  19. If we get Price, or are even going after him hard, I think that means AA has the go ahead and the money to retain him. If we can trade for Price, and have the resources to re-sign him, I'm fine giving up Norris and Pompey, + B prospects. Do want to keep Alford though, especially if we are losing Pompey. We need to keep one of them. Too bad Pentecost has no value... shoulda took TT!
  20. Whats the latest on Devon Travis? Is he going to miss significant time?
  21. I think Edwin was just pouting because he was missing the action.
  22. I think we add another mid rotation guy. Not sure our prospect pool can handle a David Price type of hit. Dan Haren would make alot of sense.
  23. Probably, though I'd prefer keeping Alford to be honest, he has a higher ceiling and I don't worry abut his mental makeup.
