    He made a decent living when he was playing I just don't get why he'd take the risk. He probably could have went into coaching or private lessons to make money. So dumb.

    I see where he is coming from. The O's have to either offer him a QO and give him a larger 1 year pay day than he would get in the open market or he hits the open market with no QO attached (not that it means as much anymore).

    We got 1 guy who is versatile and a decent prospect. That's pretty much what I figured we'd get.

    I get that but I don't think an average fan would want to go to a game in Vegas unless they are playing their team. That's all. And I agree with Term, that would be a really cool thing to do, and could possibly be a fun marketing thing.

    I think any result that occurs in disciplinary action is absolutely dumb. All he said was dumb stuff that was on his mind and that's not a crime.

    I could see Vegas having the same problems as Tampa where a lot of people there are from out of town and don't have a connection to the Vegas team so they don't care.

    Obviously I don't know his personality but from what he has said I could see him taking less money to play shortstop than 3rd. Playing shortstop seems to be very important to him.

    Looking at the rentals list I can't see one. I'd like to see Pearce, Granderson, Loup, Clippard, Estrada and Happ traded even though I don't think we'd get much in return for anyone not named Clippard and Happ. With the year Donaldson is having I think I'd prefer to just QO him at the seasons end.

    You obviously knew what happened before it showed it on MLB.TV does anyone know how much of a delay there is from the live broadcast and the MLB.TV broadcast?

    3/4 of his infield is broken, along with a backup in the infield. Gibby isn't the problem, injuries are. And the pitching staff.

    Potential consistent content areas: Minor league reports, analyzing a prospect in length, stories on Jays legends (Stieb, Fernandez, Bell, etc), potential trades or trade targets, how much the Orioles suck, Jays draft prep. There are so many ways to get content especially if there are like 4 of you. I believe spats goes to a lot of the low A (or high-A) games, if he was up to contributing he may be able to get some scouts or players to do a short interview. We also have a lot of prospect nerds on the board so one of them may be willing to do the prospect analyzing segment.

    I'm fairly certain that as long as it's just audio there isn't much they can legally do. It's essentially just talking about a game with a bunch of your friends.

    I think doing a piggy back system could appeal to many smaller market teams for a variety of reasons. It would give them more options in multi-inning relievers, keep the number of times through the lineup down, and could lower payroll as the "relievers" go through arbitration.

    I don't think it really eliminates the 4th-5th starters it just turns them into long relievers because they technique aren't starting the game. It's an interesting concept that it could keep several pitchers stretched out in case one of the top 3 starters goes down and they could just slide into a traditional starters role. It's going to be interesting seeing how this concept plays out.

    Went to La Salle University for that. Might be a bit rusty but I can try to help. I could also give some suggestions on mics to use to enhance sound quality.

    I think I'd rather get rid of Morales and have either Pompey or DSJ up here to make sure Pearce never has to play the outfield again.

    I don't know exactly how paying his entire contract would save any face. Either way it's a sunk cost.
