A blackout region is probably the only good thing about being a Jays fan in Philly. The two teams play so infrequently that it's like 2 games a year. If I still lived in my hometown I think they block out Phillies, Orioles, and Nationals games. Blackouts suck.

I know the data doesn't show it but he looked like a very good defensive 3rd baseman from what I saw of him. Barney and him backing up the infield would be ok with me. Better than Goins.

how many more years in the system does he have before free agency? 2?

That'd be pretty cool. Maybe also get players (majors and minors) to be more involved with Little League as like guest coaches at a few practices during the season and then at the end of the season invite the teams to the stadium. It would get kids more involved with the regional teams and also a good community outreach for the teams. Our team used to go to Reading Phillies games at the end of the season and it was one of the things that got me to love baseball.

When I interned for the 76ers/Flyers we did our fair share of on camera interviews and the problem we had with the hockey players is that for some English wasn't their first language. Two of them had another player interpret for them and then they would craft how to say it in English for the camera so the less words to remember the better. They didn't want to mess something up and sound stupid. They also didn't seem comfortable on camera (almost a 180 from the basketball players).

I don't know the details but does anyone know how well enforced laws on drunk driving are down in the DR? Is it illegal to serve a visibly drunk person in a bar? -
Was just gonna say this. Also, just received my Alford Bowman's Best autographed card in the mail the other day.

As someone who was really into sports memorabilia I can tell you that it's incredibly difficult to prove authenticity on any autographed or game used memorabilia. Most "Certificates of Authenticity" are meaningless unless it is backed by lets say a trading card company (which is why those are the only autographs I collect). If you did try to sell them I doubt you'd get a good price on them unless you had a strict chain of possession and even then. I don't even know of any private companies that offer auto-verification to the public.

I'm actually interested in seeing Martin play shortstop. I remember him playing 2nd in an emergency last season and I'd like to see how he does at shortstop. Not that I want him to play there during the season but I think if there is any catcher in the league that could play it at least decently it would be him.

Even though Bats is a horrible outfielder he's probably the best one still remaining. I wonder what it would take to get Puig. The Dodgers kind of soured on his attitude but I can't see Friedman selling low on him because of attitude problems. If those two don't happen everyone needs to cross their fingers that none of our outfielders get hurt.

If he does indeed have a hole in his swing I could see him ending up like Rob Deer. Strike out a lot but when he does connect the ball goes far.

We all know who he is but I doubt many non-Jays fans know who Anthony Alford is. Perhaps a company around his hometown would be willing.

If I remember correctly he is pretty bad at every position he plays.

They aren't on my team. I'm the Portland Beavers but they are both still on the Jays and the last season I completed Urena is at 5 WAR and Davis is at 2.5 WAR. I'm in 2019.
