I'm just saying that the level is between AA and AAA and they are doing well. Also, my home town county has a league so I enjoy following the league.

Former Jays prospects Kevin Ahrens and Michael Crouse were Atlantic League (Independent) all-stars.

Also, I think many on here are thinking about the picks that sign huge bonuses but the majority of minor leaguers make peanuts until they make it to AA. Make healthy meals available in the clubhouse so you get maximum return on your investment (pick and salary).

Can't Gary and Hurl hug it out as long as it's agreed upon that there is to be no reach arounds?

Trying to administer a pro league to be fair is so difficult. In the NBA you have the grouping of "super teams" with a bunch of stars willing to sacrifice money, and in baseball you have "competitive balance" picks where small market teams are just given draft picks because they are deemed small markets and need these extra picks to be competitive.

Is there enough of a difference to warrant an upgrade from OOTP17?
  7. bendera3
No. Just drag queens, Lady Gaga, and Kathy Griffin.

Likelihood D.J. Davis is cut free?

That lineup may be the worst Jays line up in the last 20 years.

You should consider visiting some of the reservations that are in the US plains area. A good friend of mine stayed at one for a couple weeks and it completely changed how he thought because he had to live their life. The extreme poverty that these people have to put up with is unreal. I don't remember the name of the reservation or what tribes lived there but my friend said it was the poorest place in the states.

I'd be completely fine with a backup who couldn't hit a beach ball but was a very good catcher. Like you said it would be hard to find a good catcher who would be cool with backing up one of the best in the game. The only issue would be if Martin got hurt for an extended period of time, but we seem to always have that problem anyway. Anyone know of a catcher sitting in the upper minors that would fit this bill that might not be expensive to acquire?

    Yay Spanky back and happy!

I like the mods. I just think that in this instance the mod was wrong and banned the wrong person.

Will "You like 12 year old girls" be a new board meme?
  17. bendera3
A 12 year old girl would be in 7th grade.

I haven't searched every nook and cranny of the board but I've never been offended by anything Spanks has said. If something seemed weird I just assumed he had one too many and don't care.

I would have been ok seeing how AJ would have done. The past couple of years his defense was so so but before it wasn't bad. Neither him or Salty hit.

Martin gonna channel Blue Jay Lawrie.

The pitcher should just throw the ball over the fence and save some time.

I don't know if anyone else cares but I like keeping tabs on the Atlantic League. Former Jays and baby Jays on teams: KC Hobson, Kevin Ahrens, Caleb Gindl, Rommie Lewis (Lancaster), Kyle Drabek as pitcher, Andy Wilkins (Sugar Land), David Carpenter, Santiago Nessy, Tony Abreu (Bridgeport), David Aardsma, Nolan Reimold (Long Island), Michael Crouse, Brandon League (New Britain), Aaron Laffey (Somerset)

    Aw that sucks for you.

I love music and would probably change it all the time. You can get lost finding music on Spotify, in vinyl stores, and penny CDs on Amazon.

Passionate Kisses by Lucinda Williams. Or Jumpin Jumpin by Destiny's Child.
