I know we all complained about our catching situation a couple years ago, but the D'backs catching situation could possibly be worse than that. It's mind blowing.
I'm just going to guess but it's probably because he's afraid that AA is going to value what players like Wolf, Francis, and Viciedo have done in the past and will make the 25 man roster instead of more talented, younger players.
I don't think a 2nd baseman needs to be super athletic to survive in the big leagues. As long as his contact is there and his defense is passable I don't think that people here would complain.
I'm just now getting a chance to watch this game now. Two things come to mind. First, Martin's pitch framing abilities are unreal. Second, three batters, two broken bats. wow.
While watching the Cardinals/Orioles game last night I had the pleasure of educating my brother about JPA. He loved his 140K/18BB ratio during JPA's top 10 catcher season.
I understand where you're coming from in saying that. Value wise we probably could have gotten a better player in return, but I think Happ turned out well. All those 1st round picks (other than Asher) haven't really amounted to much. All things considered I think we made out quite well in this trade.
I just got MLB.TV and split the cost with my brother who I live with. I'm watching a Pirates/Blue Jays spring training game as I type this. I'm loving it so far. Has anyone had the issue of occasional bufferings/distorted screens? It's not a big deal as it has only happened a couple times I'm just curious. I'm streaming from my PS3.
