  1. That's a good comparison. Two players who are among the best players in the game but were late bloomers. Lee just is more unfortunate because he can't seem to stay healthy. If I had to pick which player was more likely to get into the Hall of Fame it would be Bautista though. Unless he starts getting hurt frequently, or his production drastically drops off the face of the earth, he should at least get some consideration. With the time that Lee missed, I don't think he'll get much.
  2. I agree. It was so sad to see Doc struggle his last year here as a Phillie. Lee should call it quits before he becomes a guy that was dominate for a few seasons and then became just meh.
  3. Does anyone know where you can find Rule 5 draft results prior to 1997??
  4. I think for the most part our starters have done a good job. It's the pen that has been a problem so far, which I think 90% of the board expected.
  5. I wouldn't do an infield version. All the trolls will just say "all of Jeter's jump throws"
  6. I hope so. JP can't hit either. Or play defense.
  7. I think we should try to start a man-in-white conspiracy with our new turf. We've installed it as a new way to cheat.
  8. Is the Oriole board funding your trolling?
  9. I think if MLB has a problem with different turfs they should decide on a standard one. It would be a real shame if all the money poured into the new turf goes to waste because it has to be replaced.
  10. We're going to score a lot of runs this year. Martin only having 1 hit so far doesn't concern me much. Give them all a couple weeks to get it going. Fun fact, as of right now Martin as the same amount of hits and steals.
  11. This could quite possibly be the new "trade for borderline Type A free agents just to have them decline Arb" way of getting picks. Frankly I don't understand why teams shouldn't be able to trade draft picks anyway.
  12. Don't know if it was posted yet but Ryan Webb was traded with a competitive balance pick to the Dodgers and then released. How do you think the Commissioner feels about big market teams essentially buying draft picks?
  13. What is it that you would wanna do there? Troll or just kinda read the nonsense?
  14. I like your sig at the bottom. I was explaining to my brother (Cardinals fan) what Sanchez is like as we were watching and his comment was "he can't find the strike zone." Made me think of that quote.
  15. I noticed that a lot of us on the board like to keep up with former Jays. I figured this thread might streamline them. For example: Top 10 catcher JPA released by the Orioles, and Brett Lawrie strikes out 4 times on 12 pitches.
  16. Do people here think we should have a Former Jays thread where we track former Jays Lolz or if things they do well?
  17. I know it's just one game but they aren't trying Smith out at 2nd?
  18. I love this offense. If we could just get 1 or 2 better than average relievers we'll do some damage.
  19. I think it was discovered that there are only 3 real people on this board, 1 just has a million different personalities.
  20. But we do have them. That's why they wear blue shirts that say Blue Jays on them.
  21. I'd really like to see Castro and Osuna pitch more than just one inning if they are doing well. Both of them are starting pitchers and they have good stuff. Why limit them to 1 inning if they are doing well? Let Cecil close and don't limit the young guys from keeping it rolling if they are doing well.
  22. Unless something just clicked I doubt he can keep it up. He just doesn't have a good eye at the plate.
