  1. I think the concern is that AA is done finding outfield options and if Saunders can't make it back in a month and Viciedo has even a decent spring that Viciedo will make the team and get overpaid to play a bad left field and then when Saunders returns, be useless off the bench because of his lack of defensive versatility (any position really).
  2. I'm surprised no one has created the SN AdamLindsmom to post on injury related threads.
  3. No no no no no no no. I'll cry.
  4. Based on what Santana has done in his past I don't think his agent did magic. It's not like this is guaranteed or anything. If he regains his prime form we got him at a bargain basement price.
  5. No Matt West on your list? Think of his beautiful locks!
  6. I think club house culture is important when building a team. Think about your work environment. If you enjoy it and it's an overall positive environment you'll be more productive. It's one of the reasons why companies like Google and Apple are such great places to work. If you hate your work environment your work will suffer.
  7. Maybe Lind, Lawrie, Snider, etc were the trouble makers and Bautista and Buehrle didn't like it.
  8. Well they seem to have gotten rid of the "bro" mentality with getting rid of Lunchbox, Lind, Lawrie. I'd love to be a fly on the wall in this clubhouse and see what's really going on.
  9. He couldn't control it.
  10. That's nice of you. Many of the homeless here are very aggressive. They don't really ask for money but demand it. I do think it has to due with the mental illness aspect of it. When my brother and I visited Vancouver we were absolutely flabbergasted with the amount of homeless people that were there. I think what surprised us more was how pleasant and nice they all were. Here in Philly many follow you and yell at you if you don't give them change, but they didn't do that there.
  11. Many of the homeless in Philly are older people who lost their homes when their mental institutions were shut down in the '80s. Thanks Reagen.
  12. My head just got trolled
  13. Now when I see homeless people I'm going to think they are #5 starters.
  14. Seems like a good signing. Hopefully a guy just to keep Buffalo competitive but not a horrible guy to have around if someone goes down.
  15. Are Hurl story times as good in real life as they are over the internetz?
  16. Why anyone would call a 21 year old a bust is beyond me. Bats would have been considered a bust if you judged him by his age 20 season.
  17. Story time with Hurl!
  18. I'm sure out of all the Buffalo starters he'd probably be the last one promoted. Although, if it was one of those Laffey situations though where we only needed a replacement starter for one start I could see him being called up. I can't imagine anyone would claim him after being demoted the next day.
  19. Dickey is valuable. He's not the #1 that everyone wants but the (mostly) quality innings he gives us are incredibly valuable to the team.
  20. I could see it. It seems like catching is always in need and I could see a team picking him up as depth.
  21. In a way I kinda feel bad for the guy. He's obviously one of the best position players in the league and I don't really think that he was asking for too much. However, it's nice to have the savings and hopefully we can use it either over the offseason or at the deadline to improve the 25 man roster.
  22. If those bullpen arms are essentially interchangeable than it doesn't really matter if one of them goes down.
  23. I'd like to bring McGowan back as a strict reliever. It seemed that they were trying to keep him stretched out, which made his arm explode.
  24. If I remember correctly McGowan had incredible stuff. The brass probably thought that he was worth more trouble trying to keep than Perez.
  25. I agree. Where would we have been the past couple of years if we didn't have decent inning eaters like Dickey and Buehrle on the team? People bitch about not having enough pitching depth but having 2 guys who put up dependable 200 innings is huge and is part of that depth.
