  1. Although I wouldn't be surprised if Jeter was the most recognized baseball player in the world. Maybe that's what he meant.
  2. I saw on MLB Traderumors that a decent amount of player development contracts are up this year with minor league affiliates. Does anyone know if any of ours are up?
  3. I just caught up on this thread and jaysblue is on fire with the gifs.
  4. Barney Tallet rocks the Bill Murray look well.
  5. I doubt it will ever happen but I'd like to see the Jays make a run at Victor Martinez. Man can hit.
  6. It's silly to declare someone the 9th inning man when our general manager gets off on acquiring every available relief arm that hits the wire.
  7. Does anyone here think Thon is even of minimal value anymore? While I haven't seen him play just based on his stats he seems to lack hitting ability.
  8. It's a good move for the Rays. They have to catch lightening in a bottle a lot more than other teams and Wagner is a good risk for them. He's not a bad pitcher and they got him for a good price.
  9. That would be awesome actually. He could then be crowned King Troll.
  10. C.J. Wilson will only blow up when a team bunts the entire game. He will get so frustrated his head will explode.
  11. Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't the problem with JPR that he drafted too conservatively (Moneyball) and then sold much of the farm to get Major League players (higher dollars)?
  12. I think next year I'm going to get it too. I only get to watch the Jays once or twice a year when they play the Phillies or another big market team. When I had satellite it would always show either Blue Jays/Yankees or Red Sox/Rays on MLB Network and my market wouldn't end up with the Jays game. Always a let down. Now that I don't even have satellite I have to try to find streaming sites that have them but they are few and far between. Blah.
  13. That extra computer shut down Tampa Bay's power grid. Get him!
  14. Navarro has more wind resistance to deal with. He's lucky he got to 2nd.
  15. The Jays should travel with a generator when playing the Rays and A's on the road so these things don't happen.
  16. I saw the power went out. The Rays didn't pay the electric bill?
  17. Wasn't his problem that he couldn't find the first baseman's mitt or was it that he couldn't field the ball?
  18. Reyes will hit a ball just slightly to his right so he can do a jump throw one last time. Defensively inept shortstops helping each other out.
  19. Vancouver is a beautiful city with tons of things to do and it's fairly clean. In my few days there the only two things I didn't like about it was that it was incredibly expensive, and there were tons of homeless people there (end of August). Their subway system was quite good (honor system, really?), and my brother and I even got in a Canadians game. It was the most unorganized baseball game I had ever seen. Canadians throwing balls all over the field. Philly's public transit (SETPA) is not so hot. They have trains, trolleys, and buses and they get to pretty much every area, but they are almost never on time. Most of the stations are falling apart, and you have to use gold doubloons as form of payment. I waited for 25 minutes in the hood for a trolley a couple weeks ago.
  20. So does JPA. Just sayin'
  21. No thank you. I don't think it would even take half that to lock him up for another year or two.
  22. Jo-Jo Reyes is a free agent. I'm scared.
  23. I honestly can't keep up with all these moves. I feel like I have to check every day to see who is a Blue Jay today.
