I'd say that's probably right. Give Pompey a half a year in Buffalo and if he's doing well call him up. Gose is a good bench piece, and his defense if valuable but he just isn't as good of hitter as Pompey.
I saw on MLB Traderumors that a decent amount of player development contracts are up this year with minor league affiliates. Does anyone know if any of ours are up?
It's a good move for the Rays. They have to catch lightening in a bottle a lot more than other teams and Wagner is a good risk for them. He's not a bad pitcher and they got him for a good price.
Forgive me if I'm wrong but wasn't the problem with JPR that he drafted too conservatively (Moneyball) and then sold much of the farm to get Major League players (higher dollars)?
I think next year I'm going to get it too. I only get to watch the Jays once or twice a year when they play the Phillies or another big market team. When I had satellite it would always show either Blue Jays/Yankees or Red Sox/Rays on MLB Network and my market wouldn't end up with the Jays game. Always a let down. Now that I don't even have satellite I have to try to find streaming sites that have them but they are few and far between. Blah.
