1) Jays
2) Sox
3) Orioles
4) Yanks
5) Rays
That's how I think it will end up. If we get hit with a lot of injuries (Bats, EE, Donaldson, Dickey, Bur.) I think we fall to 2nd because our depth isn't nearly as good as the Sox.
Bought my dad a 10 game flex pack to the local Atlantic League Lancaster Barnstormers. I've noticed Chad Beck, Zach Jackson, and David Cooper are on the roster.
If anyone has the time do some research into homelessness and suicide rates for LGBT youths compared to straight youths. It's staggering and so disheartening. Good on the girlfriend.
I have an idea. I'm not sure if it would be possible but it would be cool if this forum had the rosters for the major league club and also the affiliates. I've noticed a few of the guys here keep very up to date on these roster transactions but I remember a couple times during the last season some of us didn't know who was DFA or optioned when AA did his little relief pitcher wheel-spinning.
Not saying it's going to happen but if the team IS going to go with 8 relievers with 2 or 3 longmen it would be a good way to keep them all stretched out just in case. That way your starting depth is already in the majors and if a starter goes down you can call up either a reliever or someone like Goins or an outfielder.
I think both have their uses. Both are decent starting pitching depth and from what I remember Drebek has a couple good pitches that could probably translate well in the bullpen.
I actually have. I know one of the chapters went into specific details on offensive roster construction using OBP as a main focal point, I guess I meant if there has been research done on fielding a team of Vottos vs Phillips.
Has anyone ever done research on the correlation of OBP and runs scored? It would be logical that the more baserunners there are the more runs that are scored.
I'm curious Ang. Can you speak English as well or just write it? When I was taking German classes in high school it got to the point where I could only really write it.
I know we all complained about our catching situation a couple years ago, but the D'backs catching situation could possibly be worse than that. It's mind blowing.
I'm just going to guess but it's probably because he's afraid that AA is going to value what players like Wolf, Francis, and Viciedo have done in the past and will make the 25 man roster instead of more talented, younger players.
