  1. This is great.
  2. That's the frustrating thing about this season. Minnesota, LA, Seattle, KC, Baltimore...none of these teams are very good but one they're all in a playoff race. All it took for the Jays to be in a playoff race this year was not be terrible...and they ended up being completely terrible.
  3. Well that's the last f***ing time I trust Wilner!
  4. According to Wilner, Pearce is the first MLB player ever to hit two in a career.
  5. Bautista by month: April 178/309/244 May 317/412/644 June 200/298/340 July 180/299/326 :/
  6. The Jays run differential of -82 is currently the worst in the AL and 3rd worst in MLB.
  7. Ah, now I see it's already been posted to the prospects thread. Still.....fap!
  8. Bone bruise again...same knee....more tests to come....
  9. That bunt call was horrible. Just idiotic. Almost 'Showalter not using Britton in the wild card game' bad.
  10. No such thing as a bad one year contract, they tell me...
  11. The AL East is collectively 14 games over .500 with a +63 run differential already. That's the other thing about this 11-20 start..if they were in some other division it might be easier to come back. The ALE is again looking like the best division in MLB.
  12. I don't buy this part. First, he says the alternative is going back to the 20 year playoff drought. The alternative would be some kind of retool or rebuild, but why would he assume it would result in 20 years of no playoffs? It doesn't take that long for other teams. Those 21 or 22 years or whatever it was scarred people mentally, and they think that if the Jays don't make the playoffs then it'll be two decades until they get back. Secondly, he says that the Jays would lose momentum with the fans, and then it would be "very difficult" to get it back. Yes they would lose momentum I suppose. Until they win again, and then it will all come back. Coming off that playoff drought they had no momentum at all. And then suddenly they had all of it. All it takes is winning.
