  1. Anyway, I wonder if they do raise the zone if it'll hurt someone like Stro quite a bit.
  2. I agree with everything you said. Buerhle games were great because there was so little wasted time. If pitchers all worked like that there wouldn't be any talk of pace issues.
  3. Rosenthal saying expected to be about $3M. His babip last year against lefties was .375 so could have been a lot of bad luck. The three seasons prior to that he had handled lhbs extremely well. His strikeout rate and gb% were still really good in 2016. Could be a sneaky-good signing.
  4. Minor league signing is no risk. Salty's put up pretty good numbers against RHP in his career too. If he's not a total butcher defensively it seems good to look at him for the backup C role.
  5. Law ranks the Yankees sytem #2 http://riveraveblues.com/2017/01/yankees-rank-second-in-keith-laws-farm-system-rankings-149027/
  6. The rebrand was so good. I hope they stop f***ing around with things. I like the red Canada Day unis as a special treat once a year. They don't need a Sunday uniform.
  7. Passan has indicated that Bautista turned down more money/years from other teams, and really wants to be back in Toronto.
  8. This would be the best scenario
  9. How good are his sources?
  10. Then there's this. Wonder if true.
  11. I agree with you.
  12. Welp, time to go read the Sportsnet comments!
  13. Yeah he said that during the roundtable with Blair, Wilner et al. I wish he had gone more into it. I can see Edwin not being back, since he just doesn't fit into the roster anymore. The Jays could use outfielders though and Bautista can still do that, plus he'd be much cheaper than Edwin. In theory he should be an option for the Jays but Davidi says 'zero chance'. He must know something specific.
  14. Heyman saying 5 yrs at least 16M per
  15. I'm interested in how exactly over the top it might be.
  16. Is this the first 5 year deal for a FA reliever since BJ Ryan?
