  1. Get Berrios out of there! They are all over him.
  2. The Yankees have the 3rd toughest schedule remaining, while the Jays have the 10th easiest. Goal should be to be within 5 games of the Yanks by the Allstar break. If we can do that I think we will be in good shape to take the division down the stretch, especially with so many games vs Baltimore in Aug/Sept. It won't be easy but definitely acheivable. I wouldn't be suprised to see both the Jays and Yankees crack the 100 win plateau.
  3. Record by both teams combined is 10 in one game happened in 1990, Red Sox vs Twins. Record by one team is 7 by San Franscisco in 1969 vs Houston
  4. Easy solution get vaccinated or shut your mouth and don't complain. Hope these guys aren't getting paid either.
  5. Decent looking lineup tonight. I'd swap Espinal and Tapia spots though. Tapia shouldn't ever be hitting higher then 7th in the order, I like him in the 9 hole, get speed on the bases for the top of the order, Biggio 9th is alright too. Nice to see Chapman given a day off, he's been playing a ton.
  6. Jays have had the toughest schedule in the MLB over the first 50 games and yet we are on pace for almost 100 wins. We have the 3rd easiest schedule in our remaining games while the Yankees and Rays have the 4th and 5th toughest schedules left. I'd say we are in good shape to definitely challenge for the AL East title. http://powerrankingsguru.com/mlb/strength-of-schedule.php
  7. Huge hit by Espy! Can save Romano now, absolutely massive!
  8. Why is it the Jays always seem to light up the good pitchers and make the scrubs look like CY Young lol
  9. Vlad is really pressing right now, last year he would of demolished that fastball he fouled off. His timing is way off. Hopefully turns it around soon. Maybe drop him in the order see if that sparks him.
  10. Another nail bitter, but just keep the wins coming! Good to see Romano's velocity back where it should be, was concerned after his last outing that he was injured. Likely just fatigued.
  11. My first game was June 28, 1991. Jays lost 3-1 to the Mariners. Kelly Gruber hit a homerun for the Jays, the only run they scored that game. Jay Buhner hit a HR for Seattle. I was 9 at the time and I just remember how huge I thought the stadium was. We were in the 500 level and I remember thinking it was the longest hike ever up the ramps all the way to the 500s. https://www.baseball-reference.com/boxes/TOR/TOR199106280.shtml
  12. Is this the game that finally gets the bats going!
  13. You know the bats are struggling when Teo can't even hit a low 90s fastball centre cut. That should of been crushed.
  14. Huge DP right there! Very fortunate to come out of that only down 1 run.
  15. Huge bases clearing triple! We are the last time in the MLB to finally get a triple.
  16. Huge relief that Romano's unavailability tonight wasn't injury related as he was throwing in the bullpen. Hopefully Borucki can fill in for Mayza as it sounds like he will be out at least a couple of weeks. Borucki looked solid tonight.
  17. Wtf is this lineup? Chapman leading off, he literally has one of the worst OBPs on the team.
  18. Kirk is such a liability on the bases. How are you not sliding going into second there, absolutely zero excuses for this at the major league level.
  19. Romano always needs to make it scary, why can't we ever have an easy 1 2 3 ninth.
  20. Finally a decent lineup tonight! No Tapia, no Zimmer, when is the last time this happened? Lol
  21. It's literally his first game back! Why push it with 2 games in the same day? This is a smart move imo. Imagine if he got re-injured and then was out for months instead of weeks. Ease him back in.
  22. If Dumbtoyo doesn't pinch hit Springer for Zimmer he should be fired on the spot.
  23. Guess Judge and Rizzo both decided to man up and get vaccinated
  24. Gotta say I'm extremely pleased that we finished our first month 14-8! Considering we are missing our #1 catcher, our cleanup hitter and our #3 starter. We have also had an extremely difficult schedule to start the season with the exception being Texas. Our run differential is even with an expected W/L of 11-11. We've been good, but also extremely fortunate to win so many 1 run games. I complete opposite of last season. This is definitely a 100 win team! Once our bats get going I see a lot of wins in our future.
